Chrizine, I understand your concern. Of yourse an item is easier to use the more other items and colors are available and this might influence an items popularity to some degree, but in the case of Cyber Yellow, that's really a very old color that has been used pretty much from the start, even though it was not called like this, long before we even had the Treasure Trove and it was just never popular to begin with.
Also, to rebut this argument: Even though we only have around 20 items in the new colors, if you look at the latest Treasure Trove release, the Princess Xin set in Bright Berry was sold more often than for example the one in Plum and Maroon, even though there are hardly any items to combine it with. So I believe that while the availability of other items in the same color might influence users' decision to buy an item, it doesn't seem to be a main factor.

Yeah, I think Cyber Yellow is just genuinely disliked by a lot of people (which is a pity, I personally like it). I was thinking more about colours that are generally liked somewhat but don't receive much special love or hype. I think a lot of these might soar in popularity once a few nice sets come out and people are reminded that it is a really neat colour. Like Blue, the other example Toxic gave - there are quite a few items, but a lot of them are old and newer users don't actually own much of them. But I think the colour has a lot of potential, it is a very pretty shade of blue.

And yes, of course there are other factors that influence a colours popularity! Like, just the personal tastes of the users. In the case of the new colours, I think there is also just a lot of excitement involved, people want to get some items in them so they can play around with the shiny new stuff ;)
Also, plum and Maroon are actually two colours that I would consider to be in the "got too much of these already" category. (Not so sure for plum, since it's not a personal favourite of mine, so I don't buy much of it, but I feel like I see it quite often.)

But in all this, of course you have much better grounds to estimate what things factor into buying decisions how much, seeing that you have the statistics to look at. I merely speculate based on what I see and how I personally feel about some colours and releases after all!

It's true we have a ton of gorgeous ecru items already, but for me personally, it doesn't stop me from getting more since I love the color If I can get a TT in only one color, I miiight buy in favor of a color I have less items of, but if I can get both, I'm definitely getting ecru too!
Cyber yellow or Ocher on the other hand are colors I'd only use if I was forced to use them (like when an item I like has a little bit of it and so I need some matching ocher items...).

So yeah, I' sure there's a lot of people like Chrizine who try to have a balanced wardrobe, but there's probably also lots that are like me and go mostly for their favorite colors
Man, this must be pretty tough for Firn to balance out... I don't envy you, Firn! But you're trying your best and we appreciate it!


I'd love it if we could get some more midnight purple items that aren't paired with the standard colors (meaning lavender, sky blue or midnight blue).
Something like blue white, cream, beige, cream white or ecru? Just something that's a bit of a more neutral, natural color.
Also more ice blue items would be awesome!
(and I really like the newly introduced colors, they're great)

Also suggestions of recent sets I'd personally love to see recolors of:
Rococo revival (personal favorites: neck ruffle, hair, eyes)
Sheherazade (backround items, hair, garment)

and I've suggested these before, but I'm not giving up hope xD
Victorian (dress!)
Sky (sash, armwarmers)

Well, I wouldn't exactly call my wardrobe balanced :D There's tons of colours I'm not interested in getting at all (like basically all pinks for the most part) and that I just get for the same reasons you would get Cyber Yellow and Ocher ;)
But between the colours I like to use, I always prefer getting something new in those that I have less of.

But I agree, people are probably very different in this and it's a tough thing to balance out!

Also, yes to the suggestion of pairing midnight purple differently a bit! I like the colour, and the usual combinations go well with it, but it's actually hard to make an avi with it that doesn't contain at least one of the other colours you mentioned.
I like the possible combos you suggested, especially beige I can imagine very well. Cream could be very interesting, too :)

In general, I always enjoy seeing colours used in new combinations! But it is probably a similar problem than with colour popularity - people have items in one combination, so they can use more of the same combination better than new ones.

Plain beaded necklaces! Especially ones that look like pearls! Like this: Pearl Necklace Though longer. Maybe two or three layers.

And some plain bracelets for the left arm because it can look so plain. Even beaded ones.
