Re: TELL MEH HOW MANY BOOKS DO U HAVE???

I only have about 45-50. I wish I didn't have so many, I really hate owning books. My go-to is libraries. Can't get enough of them. I never reread books, is the thing, and after five or six moves in childhood, I really hate having to cart around the heavy book-box when I haven't read 80% of them in years and know I won't again. There are very few books I would hang onto--four being part of Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time series.
The others... well, I don't know. A lot of them I just keep because I don't know how to get rid of them in a good way. Last time I donated a bunch to the library, they acted all annoyed, because they had a whole hallway lined with boxes of books that hadn't been labelled and put into the system yet and I really just felt like mine were unwanted and would probably end up being trashed. Beyond those, it can be really hard to part with ones having sentimental value, even if they're falling apart too much to read anymore and pretty bulky (Harry Potter, anyone?).
Most of the books I would keep are non-fiction, stuff like street photography, found items, and cookbooks. That's about the only things I do pick up again.[/i][/i]
