Ghibli films are mostly some sort of coming of age story. Most of them the main character goes through something and learns more about life and herself.

There's generally very little romance in them. And nothing more graphic than a kiss. The most romantic one is probably howl's moving castle and they only kiss like twice.

Ok then.
What movies do you like?

Ah, so it was an Alice in wonderland cosplay. I kept waking and you wouldn't answer.

Cute!!! I've wanted to try to dress as Alice for Halloween, but I really don't want to have to make the dress and pinafore. I don't enjoy sewing that much.

I love Ghibli films! I haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle yet, but I have it here to watch. So far my favorite is Spirited Away.

I love like 90% of the ghibli films. My favorite is a toss up between princess Mononoke and totoro. So good.

I love howls as well. I liked the book better but the visuals are just stunning.

The only thing I made was the pinafore
And all that is made of is a lot of rectangles/squares

Mom insisted I get a pattern but I ignored that
Mainly cuz when I did look it was either waist down aprons or of the "sexy" variant

I love Totoro as well! I haven’t seen Princess Mononoke yet.

I want an Alice dress with a really full, ruffled skirt, so I’d probably have to make it myself.

Pinafore? What is that?

Well it seems to worked out without a pattern.

Mononoke is a lot more serious than most the other movies so be aware.

Ruffle skirts are so cute!

Pinafore is what they call a child’s apron. It covers the dress from the collar down instead of from the waist down. Usually it is considered a part of the outfit now instead of just protecting the dress.
