Oh that's interesting. Comp-sci ethics although I suppose that does make sense. What concerning issues will you be addressing? Is the process of obtaining an interview competitive? Doesn't everyone have to do a thesis?

It's been going at a decent pace. I'm not obligated to work during the vacation but I want to as it'll reduce my workload during the semester plus I enjoy working on things slowly as opposed to rushing. I'm not a morning person. My exercise is usually done late at night on a yoga mat lol

Is it a full day of class though?

Ah, the new sets are so nice. I hope it encourages more people to donate this month *A* I want to wait for some of the items to come out in the DAC but I bought 2 forest child sets and 1 ethlenia set so far.

I like to play a lot of games. I played more horizon dawn today and took some cute screenshots :D

Also I bought this yesterday Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age Limited Edition PS4 Game soo just waiting for that to arrive as I bought it from ozgameshop.

The one for the ethics class deals with robots, chatbots, and AI systems in general. We're supposed to review cases and explain how which parts aren't ethical on what basis. The interview was for my pre-req for thesis class. I'm not sure if all the com-sci related courses are required to produce a thesis, but our specialization is. We're going to start on it next year (if all my subjects go well this year ;A;). Er...it wasn't competitive for me because my sister knew someone who had credentials for that specific paper so she just referred me to that person.

Ah that's true. I also know people who try to advance their thesis work so that they're not as pressured when doing it during the term.

*hi-5* I'm not a morning person as well XD As much as possible, I take all my classes after 11AM. Sadly, I can't avoid the 7:30AM class next term orz.

It depends on how heavy the term is. For this term my classes start at 11AM and end at 6PM because i have two hours break. For next term since I'm going to intern, I only have two classes and they're both on Friday (hopefully).

Compsci here does not require a thesis. It is under the label CSE but it doesn't follow the Australian requirements for engineering degrees. They're often just the 3 years, no honours. Your sister is also in this field? Is it a family thing?

Same! I'm awful for a 9am. I can never make plus I live an hour away from uni so that's even worse. I have to wake up at 7am and that just won't do. Why is there a 7.30am class???! Is that torture? Oh nice, that sounds a lot more free. Well you'll have the thesis to work on which is stressful but at least you won't have 4 courses to worry about.

Another recommendation if you're interested in exhibitions. Go to the power house museum in Pyrmont. In general pyrmont is nice, it's got "The Star" casino, could go there for a buffet and a walk around the harbourside. Try messina ice cream, that's really popular here and lots of cafes and small restaurants. I'm going to this one soon: clickclick. I'll tell you if it's any good.

I don't mind. I'm hermiting this week. Period week = I stay home as much as I can besides the vote on Saturday. But by then hopefully it'll be less annoying.

Lists tend to get lost in the thread. I find it hard to keep up cause other people sometimes provide lists too x_x Mika is easy as she has a thread I can consult which lists her current quests.

7:30 classes really sound like torture!
I already find the 9am classes pretty unpleasant... But I'm also living away from my uni so I have an hour train ride in the morning, like you Poshi.

I start work at 9 and unlucky for me, this time I live 1.5hrs away from my work place. I feel like my commute as I age just gets longer and longer. It used to take me 20 minutes to get to highschool which I thought was inconvenient and now it takes me 1hr to get to uni and 1.5hrs to get to work 'orz Why does this keep happening. I need to get my provisional license soon but I'm still such a nervous driver.
