I don't think it's specifically just them - I think it's also daughters who are very similar to them 8u
I mean I was trying to lift and push a bed right after oral surgery xD;

I'm like my dad when it comes to being clumsy and getting hurt.
My mom and aunt always say "Well, you are your father's daughter!" when I get hurt in stupid ways xD
I've been told I need to pay more attention to what I'm doing but that's not true at all.
I just get hurt randomly Bu

My grandpa is totally the same :mcheh: He had surgery a few months back for a hernia, and then proceeded to lift such heavy stuff that it reversed all the fixes they did, and he had to back and get the same thing done again...

I like to think I'm a little better at knowing my limits LOL.
When I was younger and my OCD was more severe though, I had a bunch of times when I really injured my legs/ankles, and I made them way worse because I couldn't stop myself from getting up and pacing back and forth for 2+ hours.

I sure as heck don't miss that.
...I was pretty fit though <.<

I don't think I know my limits...
I mow both yards and I refuse to let my mom mow because she has COPD and had two cardiac arrests before.
My mom and aunt tell me constantly to take a break but I'll keep mowing xD

@ Moi: my mom is very clumsy XD so whenever I'm clumsy I get called my mom. And I don't think its not that you don't know your limits I think its just you like to push your limits x3

@ HanafuruLove: oh dear, my BF's dad JUST did that. He had hernia surgery like 3 months ago, he started to lift heavy things and now coming this next month he has to go back in for the same surgery XD

You would pace? Do you still pace? What was making you pace? Sorry if I am asking to much, it just, I pace back and forth all the time lol but normally when I'm in deep thought, and shoot my foot could be hurting a lot (I always feel like my arch is trying to fall at times) yet I still pace regardless.

That's possible xD
I just...I want it done.
I don't want to take 3 hours mowing >8u

My dad was given blood thinners and we saw his arms all bruised and covered in sores :\
I was worried about that happening.

understandable. My grandpa is on blood thinners that have the same effect. And yeah if you know you can get the work done sooner so you have time to relax later even if it kills you its worth it XD been there

@Altaira

At this point I've mostly got the pacing specifically under control, but pacing was one of my OCD compulsions for years. I don't know why pacing in particular, although I've heard it's a common one. Essentially what differentiated it from just pacing as a habit was:
- I would feel extremely ill at ease if I didn't do it when my brain decided it was "time to pace"
- I'd do it for like 4 - 8 hours a day
- I'd end up with like massive bruises on my ankles, or like severe cramps in my calves, and just keep pacing anyway
- I had to walk in a specific room in a specific pattern, while holding a specific object

OCD is weird. I still have a lot of compulsions, but they're not quite as severe.

My Bestie struggled with OCD.

I mowed one time and I felt like I was going to black out...
Since then, I don't mow when it's too hot out.
I wanted the mowing to get done so I did it while it was still hot out.
In my defense, it's Texas and it's always hot Bu
