My twin and I got a lot of stuff from our older sisters XD
So whenever we had a big clean up our mum would watch over us to make sure they stopped giving us stuff
Looking back it is kinda funny that she had to do that XD

It's nice to have older siblings whose stuff you can inherit ;) Although it gets complicated for some things that we both have strong emotional ties to. Usually my mom settles that by saying those things stay with her, and all her grandchildren can play with them while visiting her, since she wants to have some toys at her house for that anyway. Not that I have any children yet ;)
But once the old stuff is through the hands of my three nieces, it'll probably fall apart before my potential future children are even born :D

And that's nice of her. My mom just throws my stuff away. Oh well.


My sister was about 10 years older than me so all her stuff got passed on to other people. But I got a lot of other hand me downs.

My sister is nine years older than me, but I guess my mom just managed to put all the stuff somewhere :D
Or they might be a lot of things she's had that I don't know about at all, probably some of the stuff for younger kids. My family moved into the house my mom still lives in like one or two years before I was born, so I would imagine she started keeping so much of the stuff only from that point on.
But there are still a few favourites from earlier that they must have kept and moved with that I got handed down.

My older sisters are 7 years old. We mostly got clothes or ornaments and thinks like that.
What is funny is that we gave them things back. Like they are both teachers so we have given them toys etc for their students. I still don't understand why they have toys in classrooms but whatever (One of them teaches 6 year olds)

I moved around a lot when I was little. So I guess they threw things out or whatever.

Yeah, if you're moving a lot it's probably harder to keep all the stuff for years to hand it down. If you can just stuff it all in a box and put it on the attic, it must be much easier.

I've never had an attic.
I'm hungry. I need to look for something to eat.

We had a really small one and I wasn't allowed to go up there. My mom hated going up there as well. I think she was afraid that there might be some harmful substances being used in the insulation, but I don't know if that was actually true.
It was useful for keeping some stuff though.

Oh yeah, there used to be all kinds of bad stuff in insulation.
I think that it's gotten better now, though.
Less unhealthy stuff? I'm not positive.
