I'd be screaming from frustration if it happened to me. I assume they know you can't really do anything about it. People like that frustrate me. :}

Absolutely. It wasn't until after I had signed the resignation from my position that I found out a.) there should have been a fellow hourly employ or my union steward present when I was originally taken upstairs and b.) I could have fought it since she essentially coerced me into stepping down, but since I signed a written resignation (at her behest) there's nothing that can be done.

Yeah. I have an acquaintance who they tried the same trick on. Except we saw it coming and he knew not to sign anything till his rep had looked over the papers. Which was a good thing as they were trying to hold him accounted for some of the dept. So instead of paying him what they still owed him they tried to make him owe them money.
He didn't sign and it's now up for dispute if his termination is even... well... determined.
But they clearly blind sighted you, and I think you could look into it with your union steward. If they were pressured you could perhaps claim you were pressured into signing papers without knowing the outcome.
It's a long shot but it might work. :}

You only ever find that stuff out after the fact.

And Tracy sounds like that Tracy bitch scheduler that worked at the Washington Kroger the first time I worked there. she was a bitch. she would ALWAYS schedule you 15 minutes short of you of a break, two breaks, a lunch.

Also, how is Chris? Is he still working at Kroger too?

Tracy B. She used to be important -- like, was our District Manager or something. But she got demoted. And has been a thorn in my side for nearing 7 years, I believe.

Chris is... okay. Poor guy's all bandaged up and in a splint and cast until we can get him into an orthopedic. And yeah, he still works at Kroger, too. He's super stressed that they're going to try and get rid of him after this second injury, though.

okay, not same Tracy, but Tracy is such a bitch name. I apologize for all the nice people named Tracy.

Poor guy =/ Was the first injury even his fault though? I can't remember the specifics.

The first injury was back in... October? I think. He was pulling freight off the trailer with a pallet jack. Jack ran over his foot, pinned him in place, he fell backward and caught himself on his wrist.

I thought it has been longer than that. He has no luck =/ Hopefully they won't lay him off for that because that honestly would be really shitty of them. but then again...

Maybe it was? Wasn't any earlier than August, though, I know that much.

And honestly, they can't. He could fight it through the union if they tried, and sue. But I wouldn't put it past them to try and pull one over on him.

Yeah, I thought it was at least a year ago since we go through phases of when we talk to each other XD

yeah, true. but I can see how they would try to push him out by cutting his hours because with two accidents, he's becoming a liability to them.
