Oh, I remember Gaia, I was a member there very shortly - then I came here and never looked back.
I just looked it up, I'm surprised it still exists at all!

I don't remember when I joined, but it was too huge for me.
This was smaller back then, and everybody was nice - hey, you could even chit chat with the admin, where else have you seen such a feat?
So for me it was an easy choice, because I had nothing valuable at Gaia and KofK was so cool.

To be honest, I thought it should close. Because it would if it were no profitable.
Firn and starkad, on the other hand, will try to keep this alive no matter what.

Yeah, that's the feeling indeed.
I never donated anywhere else, to be honest. But KofK felt like a common project, where everybody helped as they could.
Sometimes I spent too much - I used to overspend my budget here - but it made me feel good.

See, here's the thing I'm thinking of; when you play healer in some MMOs you get points for healing but it's much easier to get points and becoming the MVP in the party by being a tank even if you don't play seriously. So maybe people escape without helping because it's easier to rack up the points by being an evader than by being a benevolent.

Oh? I'll have to think about it. I don't own a controller that works with PC so I'll have to think about whether it's playable with keyboard and mouse or if I'm willing to invest in both the game and the controller.

I have so many games on my steam wishlist. I only buy them when they're on sale.
