Kayo stood back and watched Stein while he was talking to Chaos. He seemed to know how Chaos felt at the moment. He then looked at Stein as he was addressing him. "How long will that take?" he asked, wanting to know when to come back and take Chaos back.

Kira listened to what Ruby had to say, and felt really bad for her as Ruby's eyes started swimming in tears. She moved closer to Ruby and wrapped her in a warm hug, choosing not to say anything about it. But she understood. She knew Ruby for the person she was, and no congenital condition was going to change that.

Stein smirked at the boys question. "As I said, a couple of days. You can come back two days from now. He'll need to rest for a while after you come to take him home." The professor explained simply.

Ruby blinked a few times as she felt arms wrap around her, and she could not help but stare at her best friend in slight awe. Her tears cascading down her cheeks. Ruby didn't cry very often.. but with how accepting Kira was being- she couldn't help it. Ruby smiled and returned the hug, her tears drying all on their own. Maybe their friendship really could withstand anything.

((I loved it! Downloaded the whole anime into my laptop and I'm pretty sure I watched it thrice over, at least XD))

Kira just stayed there for a bit, feeling really good about their friendship. She then pulled away and smiled at Ruby. Then her face got a bit serious as a question occured to her. "So what can we do?" she asked. "I mean, there's a reason this spiralled out of control for you. What can we do to help get it back in control?"

Kayo nodded at the professor. He then turned to Chaos. "I'll see you then, man," he said. "You got lucky, not having to help the girls move." He smirked at the other and then raised a hand to say goodbye, and left.

i just can't believe how easily Medusa blends in at DWMA, just because of soul protect! x.x it's so obvious that it's the witch, but no one sees it @-@ witches are tricky ><)

Chaos could only smirk at Kayo's comment, then shake his head as the boy left the room. Now it was just him and Stein. The professor would wait to start, until the students left.

Ruby averted her crimson eyes briefly, as Kira spoke about helping her with her lunacy. She closed her eyes and sighed. "I don't know.." She answered quietly."With everything going on.. I just.. snapped." Ruby said in a lowered voice. She looked back at Kira with a more apathetic expression. "I don't think it matters what we do.." Sure, it sounded like she giving up- but that's not how it was. All she could do was keep it controlled, she didn't know anyway to explain it. One thing was certain- Delia had to be dealt with.

She blinked when she heard the doors open, and she glanced at Kayo. "How bad is it..?" Ruby asked cautiously.

((Right?! I'd think that her hairstyle is something of a dead giveaway, I mean how many people wear their hair like that even? XD))

Kayo took a deep breath and stepped into the living room, knowing there would be questions asked the second he stepped out. He was right. "He's gonna be here for two days," he said. "Professor needs that much time to treat him." He paused for a moment. "Said something about Soul-Thread Sutures. Either of you girls know what that's about?"

Kira narrowed her eyes at the mention of Soul-Thread Sutures. She'd come across it while reading books from the library. So that was how Stein was trying to heal Chaos. It was a bit like mending broken bones, except the bone fragments were soul fragments instead. She looked at Ruby.

(i need to figure a way for Delia to blend in better.. -.-)

Ruby didn't find his words comforting in the least..but at least Stein was taking care of her weapon. She had read about soul thread sutures in one of her school books, but she didn't think Stein was that good! Only the best meister could manage that technique. She found herself averting her crimson eyes away from the twins, then slowly stood.

"He's basically having to use his own soul wavelength, in a form of thread, to sew Chaos's soul back together.. which means he fractured his soul.." She murmured in a quiet voice, feeling even more guilty than she did when they got here.

Kayo heard what she said and shook his head. The things that people could do with their souls was really amazing. If Kayo could just learn to do half those things.....

He looked up when he heard her talk about Chaos's fractured soul. No. He was not going to let her sit there and believe that she'd done this to him. He went over to her and put his hands on her shoulders, and saw that Kira had moved closer to put a hand on her back.

"Ruby, this was not your fault," he said, firmly yet kindly. "Chaos is strong, and at the end of two days, he'll be fine. You need to stop blaming yourself, all right?" He looked at the ground for a second.

"Chaos told me about.... your condition, just a few seconds after Kira went up to see you. And by the way he tells it, seems like it's not something you can always control."

Kira simply smiled at Ruby, letting her know that she agreed with Kayo's words.

Her eyes widen slightly when Kayo came over, and put his hands on her shoulders. Ruby glanced at him as he spoke, Kira was silently comforting her as well. Kayo though.. he had that look in his eyes when he told her it wasn't her fault. A look very similar to the on Chaos often gave Kira to make her feel better. She couldn't help it when color tinted her cheeks.

Even if he did know.. Ruby shook her head and looked at him. How could he say that?! She could only smirk. "Let's just go, so Stein can work. Besides, we still need to pack..if you guys still want me living in your apartment."

((I was thinking, since she has witch magic, she changes her appearance completely, probably taming and cutting off her white hair, and changing her eye color, and she'd obviously use Soul Protect too, otherwise the twins would sniff her out in an instant. Something like that?))

Kira frowned. "Nonsense, Rube," she said. "Of course we still want you there." She patted the other's back and they all walked out of Stein's place together. Kira took one last look back at the door through which Chaos had gone, hoping he'd be fine, and then moved forward with the other two.

(yea, something like that ^^ where do you think she would fit in at the school? as a professor, or a second nurse? O.o - also, i'm instituting a time skip~)

Ruby smirked at Kira's reaction to her half-hearted tease, and she left Stein's place with the twins. They headed back to the apartment so they could finish packing, and moving into the twin's apartment. Most of her room was destroyed, but she packed up her father's book and some others that hadn't been damaged.

Later that evening, the three of them had managed to pack what little stuff was at Ruby's apartment and had moved the boxes to the twin's apartment. True, it took a little more time and effort having missing a body, but they got it done before sun down- somehow. The good news was, no one had to start unpacking until they figured out some new living arrangements.

Or they could just wait until tomorrow.. so they could order some pizza or something and all watch a movie together, after the day of trauma and hard work.
