Did I just have bad luck or is it really that hard to dig up the Spices?

I have only 4 Knuffel to dig, but 2 Spices in all of my digs seemed a bit insufficient to me...

It depends on how many Knuffel you have. If you take a look at the market you will see that Spices are the ingredients that get sold the most, so these are the ingredients with the most overrun.
It is hard to find a balance of what is an acceptable rate to find these through digging when we know that some users have 4 Knuffel and some have 200. No matter what rate we pick, it is either way too easy or way too hard for some - We are aware that some users will simply not be able to get the Spices they need with their Knuffel, while others will be overrun with them. This is why we made ingredients tradable.

I was tempted to buy another knuffel but 9 is enough for now

I always enjoy coming back to Kofk for the Doughnight Calendar :)
This year will require a bit more effort on my part but I guess it serves me right for being so inactive.

I don't think I have enough time to fully enjoy this event, but I still, I'll try my best.
