I work at a box office for a playhouse. Mostly, I sell tickets and answer inquiries about certain shows, but I also help my manager with the more paperwork end of things, like preparing tickets, making seating charts for certain performances, and preparing show info stuff. It's a pretty decent job, but the hours and benefits are lacking.
Ooh, I enjoy RPing and making original stories too! Dude, I'd love to hear all about them!
Aha, yeah, I think it's really neat when people develop multiple art styles, but even having one is still awesome.
Aha, yeah, definitely would be awesome to get my hangout active again. There used to be character-centric games, themes, and chats that changed weekly there, but that was back when I first started it.
Aw, thanks. It's all based around the hair and the top --I couldn't decide if I wanted more of one color theme or the other, so I combined both!
Even if they're not OCs, RPing a character's fun to do. I started off that way, but ended up enjoying writing for OCs more.
I have too many notes, doodles, and such to go back and be able to read through all in one or two sittings, but sometimes I will sift through them and get hit up with nostalgia. I rarely reorganize them, though I really should.
That makes sense. My mom, siblings, and I became Christians when I was in sixth grade. Back then, I felt a sort of comfort with it that I didn't get with Buddhism. My dad's a monk now, but my brothers still see him often, and I go to visit once in a while.
MTG art and flavor text (the little text additions they sometimes add to the cards for fun) are pretty great. Buying the cards can get expensive though. I have some lands I collected (they're generally cheap) which are gorgeous, and some connect together to form a panoramic picture or have a connecting theme. Lands are my favorite of the cards.
Oh, I remember collecting Pokemon! We were all crazy for it when I was a kid.
Aye, that would be my interpretation for Japanese hero figures: Power Ranger types and magical girls.
I don't feel one way or the other about Superman, but I don't like Spiderman for some reason. I guess I've always thought he was kinda whiny, though I'm not even sure how accurate my memory is on that. I also found his story to be uninteresting. He's a popular hero though; I can see how a lot of people find him likable and relatable; he's just not for me.
Oh, nice! I don't go to GoodWill or Savers often, but when I do, I look at the books. Here's a (
link) to my book collection, and my (
GoodReads). I don't go on the latter much either, but I still drop in now and then.
Have you read "The Giver" series yet? I know a lot of people have read the first book, but man, it's all pretty good.
Also, which books at you get at the GoodWill.
When it comes to manga-ka, I have a soft spot for Zakk and Miyamoto Kano (both write BL). Zakk's art is a pretty interesting mix of anime style and American cartoons, I think; it really stands out. As for Kano, her early works (I haven't read anything from her in a long while) were pretty good on focusing on subtle details. She would draw the same characters in different timelines with different looks (people would have different hairstyles), but many of them would still be recognizable because of their facial features (like eyes and eyebrows) even though they didn't stand out too much. I really respected that sort of detail in her works.
Aha, I woke up so groggy and dead. You?
