Mood: Catch my vibe I'm about to ignite
Hello! I've recently started playing again - very strange after not playing in a couple of years. Much more of a passive player now (seeing what pokemon appear around my home), but I do miss the days when the game first came out. Had a group we used to play with and we'd go on cycle rides together. Was very sweet!

I can imagine it must have been strange.
I couldn't play when the game first came out. It didn't run on my phone and I didn't wanted to buy a new one just for the game.
When I got a new one the hype had already died down so I forgot about it ^^°
I started playing with my nephew since the game is more fun outside and he needed an adult to go out with him and also explain the game to him
We played on our own for a while though this year we discovered that there is actually a community here. It's small but it's there xD so sometimes we join them now

I still play every now and then. Im a more passive player too but I enjoy the events. I have a coworker that plays and he catches me up on the game if I haven't been on in a while. :mclaugh:

I live in a small town so theres not a lot here but enough to play and get some good stuff every once in a while :mcglee:

I love playing as I travel. It's fun to catch pokemon in different places, so later you can look back on all of the places you traveled to. :mchappy:
Plus, it makes collecting the scatterbugs easier.

Though, the CP/HP and Candies/Leveling up system is still foreign to me. :mcdead: It feels like, at a certain point, no matter how many candies you collect, you can't really make your pokemon stronger. I've been stuck in the high 2k/low 3k CP for my strongest pokemon FOREVER. But the Team Rocket leaders just keep getting stronger...

The leveling system for the users is weird, too. Like, I've been playing off-and-on on my main account since mid-2019, and I'm still at level 37. But my new account I have only had for a week and I'm already at level 17? :mcgloom: ? Very confusing.

I love the event Pokemon, tho! I want to collect every funny hat pikachu. :mclove: So far, my favorite has been the Absol in aviators. I can't wait for them to put out a Squirtle in dark sunglasses as a callback to the original series. And maybe a Pikachu with a little tuft of hair for Sparky. :qh:

Oh that's clever!
so how many vivilion patterns have you collected so far?
By now they released shiny scatterbug but I haven't had any luck with that yet

Yeah at some point the power ups use so much star dust and candy but only bring up the numbers a little ^^°
But it also depends on the Pokemon how high the CP is actually going to be even at max level. Some pokemon will be stuck with 2k ish even at their max level And then I think there is also the IVs to consider :mcheh:

As for user leveling I think it makes sense because the amount of exp you need to level up is getting bigger as you progress. At the beginning you need a few hundred k but as you progress you then need millions
So getting to level 17 requires less exp and therefore goes a lot faster
And I can already tell you once you reach level 40 you will also get extra tasks to do like in a research and you have to complete those too to level up.

Hm I got a squitle with sunglasses... Or actually it's Blastoise now xD but I guess that was already released.
There are so many event Pokemon.
I'm still waiting to be able to evolve my Bulbasaur with party hat... It's the only one that can't evolve currently from the Kanto starters with party hats.

I’ve been playing a lot more Pokémon go lately. Mainly cuz I’m in another country and there’s like wifi everywhere. Lol
