Kingdom of Knuffel

I guess we got saved from adventure time and homestuck craze... We still have naruto and bleach, but there's not such a craze around it... Of course everybody knows it, but the most popular character is actually Zaraki Kenpachi and Ichimaru Gin from bleach and Kakashi from Naruto... I don't really mind since there's three of those at the most... The most wrong cosplay is actually Maito Gai... Seriously, no real guy should wear that much spandex in real life... It shows way to much. The cosplayer could actually move like Gai (he proved it to us by doing a split than jumping up for a roundhouse kick), but even though the guy looked good and muscular, certain things should be left to imagination unless you're the girlfriend... Too much spandex!!! I was traumatized...
We do have disney princesses, but not as much... I loved the starwars queen Amidala from 2 years back though... That was very impressive...

Haha, Gai and Rock Lee cosplayers terrify me too. But you have to admit, they've got guts.

We don't see many Star Wars cosplays out here, at least at my con. But I love when people go all out and make a super fabulous costume like that.

well, the con I go to is for Sci Fi, Fantasy, Comics, Anime and things like that... There's one room that's built with several sets, like a Jabba the hut set (including a jabba and other guests), a droid shop, a V for vendetta set and different other goodies each year 1 ... Last year they also had all the nazgûl and a perfect sauron... It's pretty well made and fun too!
These guys also move around all day, there's about six different ones...
There's of course always jokes among the staff and since I know a lot of them it's always fun!

Oh wow. Sounds fun. ^^ So, are these 'sets' like, photoshoot sets? Or are they more for roleplaying? I've never seen anything like that.

My local con is classified as "anime, manga, and pop-culture". So, it covers all the same grounds, I think. But we just tend to see more of the anime/manga/Japanese videogame crowd.

you can walk through them, talk to the builders, take pictures, have fun roleplaying, it's pretty much free for all as long as you don't break anything... only dangerous things are closed off... (like the large robot, if it fell, several people could be crushed, and it wasn't the most stable thing)
You can even join some of the builders if you want, the droid club is always searching new controllers and builders...
according to the guide book you can even "get a 3D-rendering of yourself, experience and understand motion capture" though I missed that booth... too bad... You can also pass in front of a blue screen in cosplay and be placed in a different world... It's pretty fun for all ages, the little girls in princess outfits and the occasional baby in pikachu suit are soo cute! The best part for me is that those things are for free.

I've not seen many Gai's or Lee's.. but I do get this massive groups of very large and VERY hairy men dressing as sailor scouts..... its.... no.

I'd love to keep chatting about anime and cons, but I'm tired so I'm heading to bed. <33

Oh! And speaking of hairy crossdressers... We actually don't get that many, but we do have one who's like, a legend. xD Mansty, mwahaha. He cosplays as Misty every year, and pretends to molest any Ash who asks for a photo, lol. He's awesome at DDR too, apparently. Everyone was extremely disappointed when he didn't show up this year.

Hello there, Raine! I wanted to give you a congratulations because you are the creator of the first Wild Knuffel that I have ever bought. I normally don't like pink, but your creation caught my eye so I bought her. Her name is PrettyPink and she really is very well done and lovely.
