Aww, anime people are fun. They mostly leave you alone if you don't cosplay. otherwise they try to interact and stuff. I don't like the ones that get like too into character. But it's kinda fun seeing all the costumes. :)

I think this might be my last year at the anime con here. Just cause it's gotten so full of teenage goths.. I don't think they even like anime.. I think they only come for the masquerave and the j-pop dance. =_= They're annoying.. ugh.

We only have a few small con's here so its pretty ok, there's one that does scifi, jpop, kpop, anime and comics, so that one's pretty fun, even if you cosplay, one of the things I find very funny is the strange combo's you see in jabba's corner,
once I saw an R2-D2 (there's always a builder team driving them around there) a storm trooper and a fairy godmother just drinking alongside each other whilst a little boy in a luffy suit was taking a picture of them... It was so cute and confusing.
The people here mostly leave you alone even if you're in cosplay, unless you've won the cosplay contest...
Last year we had Harry Potter's Draco over so it was SUPER busy near the place where the guests were, and some fangirls were scary, but otherwise it was still easy to find calm places...
There was one guy who did a perfect snape though... He never got stuck in traffic, just passing you made you flinch back! He was freakily good at the snape aura and a perfect look-a-like!

The only other con I know of around here is the furry con.. which I have not been to. (furries are not my cup of tea, but I had an acquaintance that was crazy into them..)

The con here is just anime/video games. We had a really great Link last year. And a few years ago the most amazing Shiva from FFX.. OMG she was perfect. And a great Lulu from FFX too. Always tons of bleach and naruto people.. ugh.

For some reason a lot of people dress like pirates and Jack Sparrow... I... don't really get that. O.o wtf.. it's an anime con guys.. lol.

The people here are already overly-friendly. At NDK (the con here) if you are cosplaying you WILL be glomped.. a lot. constantly. I went as Rinoa a few years and... dear god I thought I was going to die. @_@

So far I've cosplayed 4 times to 2 different cons, my total glomp count = 4 in total, I guess that's pretty ok...
Once it was a fan of my character who was also in cosplay, she was dressed up as my character's boyfriend...
Once it was a person who was very impressed with my cattail, since I made it the correct size for a human being and it was able to stand up completely...
And one time I nearly cried for help, until I realised it was a friend of me in disguise.
The last one I'm not sure counts as a glomp, I was followed around by an R2D2 and its builder until the builder got a hug... Freaky, but funny since the builder was really nice and I loved the R2-D2...

yeah... NDK is like.. no one has any sense of personal space. They had to put rules in place to reduce the glomps. I've had people I didn't even know RUN up to me from like 100 feet away and tackle me. It gets pretty intense. .__. I couldn't even count the hugs and glomps I'd get in a single day. I guess Colorado people like to hug..? XD It sucks on the last day of the con cause there's a lot of people that need to learn what a shower is.

I've gone as Rinoa from FF8, Rin from Inuyasha, Sailor Mars, and Kairi from KH2. I tried to make a Tohru (from fruits basket) cosplay, but I never got done in time and just scrapped it. I haven't cosplayed in a few years. I can't take all that physical attention. I don't even touch my parents normally.. I don't like being touched, lol.

Yeah, I know a few people like that... A friend of mine gets glomped regularly just because she looks like a very cute 12 year old... Even though she's 22... She really doesn't like hugs... She's also the 'toughguy' in our group.
I don't really care as long as the hugs are short... I have more problems with the way people greet others sometimes... I live in a country where the greeting is usually a kiss on the cheek... Now that's something I have problems with, only family and a boyfriend is ok... The rest I kind of find invasive.....

I think I always got the most hugs.. since I'm little and also look like a little girl. ^^; Everyone thought I was 16 until like last year.. and they only thought that cause my boobs are too big for me to look any younger >/////>

I would very much not be ok with cheek kisses. The only person that touches me at all is my bf. I try to avoid even brushing hands against someone when they hand me things. @__@ I thought the con and all it's hugs would help me get over it, but I think it might have made it worse. ^^;

We're talking about anime now? *excited* That's one of my favorite topics. ^^

@Raine: Jack Sparrow actually was in a video game, Kingdom Hearts(2, I think), so that may be one reason you see him running around your local con. xD We get lots of randoms here too though. One year, somebody dressed up as Flo the Progressive lady.

Around here, the Naruto/Bleach craze has kind of died down, but now we have tons of Homestuck/Adventure Time peeps. Dx I miss those six hundred Narutos.

riiiight I forgot about that. =\ Still though... we never have any disney princesses so I think it's kind of a leap.

We had a lot of adventure time people last year. It was cool for the first day (since I love adventure time), but it got old since they kept yelling out 'what time is it?'.... it was like a repeat of the caramelldansen fiasco. @_@
I do not know if we had homestuck people because I have no idea what that is..

Trying to watch Bakemonogatari since like 5 anime in a row that I wanted to start tonight have been removed. >:( Why isn't there a new Hyouka? *crycry*

Oh, that's sad. We had tons of Disney princesses(at least three of which were Rapunzel ) this year. One Belle made her ballgown entirely out of balloons. xD We had a fabulous Ursula a couple of years too.

I'm not overly familiar with either series, but my friends are. ^^

I've heard of Bakemonogatari, but I'm honestly not sure what it's about. I used to watch lots of my anime online, but then I got this new crappy internet connection, so my streaming sucks. I just watch my DVDs or whatever's available on Netflix now.
