Moi, why don't you drink with a straw?

They told me not to drink normally D:
They didn't specify the length of time, though.
You're not supposed to drink with a straw because it can remove the clot ._.
I got a glass of milk with a straw and my mom told me not to use because of that.
So I spilled it on myself >Bu
BUT we have these cups I put hot cocoa in and I found out they have lids.
I was able to drink cocoa because the sippy part of the lid x3

Is it still bleeding then? If it's not, I think you can drink normally. :)

Or check with the dentist if you're really unsure? If there's still some sedation, they usually advice you to wait with eating/drinking, to avoid biting on the wrong places. Lol, little wounds are best to avoid, but I think you can drink though... :mcheh: Or is it in the front of your mouth? Dunno, I'd check if you're unsure.

It was bleeding yesterday, but I think I caused it to bleed by accident.
I was doing physical stuff I wasn't supposed to do 8u;
No bleeding today but I'm still scared to try eating anything or using a straw...
I really wanted a soda but I was scared of drinking that too xD;

They sent me a paper on what to do, but I looked over it last night and it just says not to eat and drink specific things, but there isn't a time thingy for it.
It doesn't say "No straws for 48 hours!" it just says "Straws may remove clots!"

Sometimes doctors and dentist do not give very clear instructions...

Anyway good thing you can't drink a soda. That's terrible for your teeth!

Funny how some advice differs per country though. They told me to avoid milk products at first, 'cause apparently it could cause the healing taking longer.

I searched all Dutch advice on the internet, from dentists and I couldn't find it anywhere. So either, they're bluffing or they're super cautious over here. Dunno.

I love that song. <3

To look on the bright side, I still wanted to get some tees for my eldest, he's growing like... weed. >.> But anywaysss, we were about to leave, when I decided not to. The weather was good, the big brothers got my youngest on his slightly larger bike (similar frame, just larger wheels) The weather was lovely, so I suggested to not go anywhere and just light the barbecue. Sit outside. No people, just nice food, glass of wine, weird kid's like always, but nobody around to watch them so I could feel ashamed. Like, good times. XD

Yeah, the tees. I ordered some online. He doesn't really care anyways. I think... >.>

I am happy because I finally got some coffee x3
I hadn't drank any in like a week.

I wonder if part of those advices change because people -in general- behave different in different countries.

I have a thyroid problem and I asked my doctor about certain foods, whether I should increase the amount of fish or seaweed or anything else.
And he replied that no, that we eat more than enough of those. Without even asking me how much I eat of them; for all he knew I might not eat them at all.
But here in seaside towns most people eat a lot of fish (it's fresh, it's affordable) so he simply assumed I did too.
(I was a bit disappointed tbh, I don't like doctors to make assumptions.)

Jolien, your kids are weirdos? Omg, I thought I was the most terrible mom in the world for feeling ashamed of my little one doing embarrasing things in public XD

@Moi:
Soda is evil.
Because you'll drink it at any time, but it's unlikely you'll wash your teeth every time you do. And it's much more sugary than we realize!
You may be cleaning your teeth after every main meal, but if you are drinking soda in between they are just as dirty again - even if it's not noticeable.

I turned around my thinking. I honestly think that those kid's at restaurants, who sit down and don't do anything wrong. Not even spill on their white blouse are the weirdo's.

Lol, no. I never brought a tablet to a restaurant, we do use the option of pencils and a drawing if there is one, but it's best to feed them within 30 minutes. 45 is ok, don't take an hour. Or bring adult food and forgetting about children's food. I prefer places with a big terrace or a playing room nearby or outside. Sitting down for a long time is kinda boring for them. They can be super good though. And they can really bother each other and make me crazy as well. >.> No honestly, it's crazy to assume that a kid can sit down and still for 2 hours straight, equaling, school is sometimes crazy as well... :mcheh:

Yeah, I guess it's assumptions.

I like soda water, but that's about it. I need a change sometimes from regular water. Or coffee or tea. So, soda water it is. Plus the guy in the street is a super nice guy, so I like going there to exchange my flasks. :) :)

Hahaha, I remember seeing babies who stayed in the strollers for hours and you did not hear them at all, and thinking they were surely sick.
Took me months to realize that some babies were actually that quiet!

My son never liked drawing or coloring, he's always been into books. So we bought some tiny ones which we could take to restaurants and read him those.
Now he brings his own book and reads on his own.
But I still appreciate going to restaurants which focus on serving kids first, and then start cooking everyone else's meals.

Tablets and smartphones. I think they are traps.
Yeah, it may make your life easier in the beginning, give them a tablet and he won't be annoying for a while. But long term it will backfire: they will demand more and more, and you'll be wanting (and fighting) to set limits to an habit you've fed since they were toddlers.
I just don't let my son use them. And I won't until we can negotiate exactly the terms of use.
