Oh, that's great cause I missed many tasks because of the time restriction, I thought I had time but I didn't.

Is there any reason I shouldn't spend my bats? I'm just scared there's going to be a surprise at the end or something if I spend them too early.

and how long with the shop be available to purchase the items?
Or do they end at the same time?

That's on purpose. You'll have only a few days to replay all the tasks if you want to, so you don't need to wait, and it's ok because you get to restart only once.

rebecca, in the past, usually the quests stop first and then after a couple of days the event shop closes. Now, there was one event when the event shop closed at the same time as the quest, so I tend to spend my event currency right away. I lost so much event currency that time, because I was building up to one of the more expensive items. As for when the event ends, it's not automated but Firn or Starkad has to turn it off manually. As such, they cannot tell you exactly when it will end: just the date they'll try to end it by.

Oh, and Starkad. This is a bit too late in the event for this, but when you get a pop-up (like an ant) in the new Living Empire shop, the pop-up doesn't go away when you click on it. The claim message pops up behind the actual pop-up so that you can't read what it says. It does collect though. This occurs on both FireFox and Chrome.

Still a great event, this is the first time in a while I've been able to make enough currency to splurge on seconds and even thirds of items. I've bought enough of the candles for my Fire Knuffel's room to make the place look like a shrine. Wish they had a bit of a light halo around them so the room would like it was glowing if we use dark walls and floors but they're still amazing.
...Also is it just my monitor or is the black striped flooring not have any stripes on it?

This event is pretty tricky, but nice to have an opportunity to earn seasonal items =)
