It's sad that this has become such a disappointment for everyone. There's no excuse for those who are responsible for that.
I understand that it should be some work to get the items, but people are different and while it's not much effort to collect lots for some it's a pain in the ass for others. Nobody can deny that it takes many hours to collect enough for a whole set. But it is manageable (even if you hate the clicking as much as I do) and never reason to cheat.

At the moment all works fine, no lagging (for me at least), so let's hope it stays this way. Maybe it is possible to expend the event for some days because of the time we lost. I would really appreciate that...

(edit: the lagging is back... :mccry: )

I have noticed that around 16:00 my time is when the site starts to really lag, so maybe the botters are more active during this time? I'm not really sure but I was on earlier and it didn't take nearly as long as this for the pages to load for me. :/

I never really liked the pop up events. Even when I am on here for hours every day, I have a really hard time getting enough tokens to get a full set of the items. The ones that gives tokens for posting are better IMHO. It's a similar concept, and seems more resistant to botting. It also encourages participation because you can't get the tokens by refreshing or just skimming through threads. (though for people who are lurkers or have social anxiety I think the spam forum should still give tokens, even if it is only 1 per post.)
I hope the botters are happy that they have pretty much ruined the Easter event for everyone else, as the lag has made it extremely discouraging to hunt for the egg tokens. I am also among those who hope the event can be extended a bit to help make up for the loss of time from lag. :qf:

About people asking for an extension of the event: Since the lag and the event go hand in hand, extending the event would also mean extending the lagging.
Since it makes the whole site will all its features basically un-usable, I would really not like to do that. :(

Aw, too bad it isn't going to be extended. I really hoped it would. I haven't been able to collect many eggs because of the constant lag ;/

I think it's a shame that not everybody will be able to grab all the items from the shop without spending all day collecting eggs. I feel like getting one of each item should be do-able for anyone that really tries. I have to spend 4 hours or something a day to get enough eggs (because of the lag), that doesn't sound really reasonable.

I hope the new server thingy will improve the lag issue. It's a pain to do the plantation event, and I'm not even talking about feeding/digging with knuffels, which became absolutely impossible for me these days.

I think I would have prefered an event like last year : a max amount of eggs to find each day, I had way more fun with that.

I know this is a lot of negative things, but I still love the easter items and I'm going to do my best anyway to get them all !

I'm sure I won't get a full set this time and that saddens me, since I've really tried and I hate missing out on event items. This means I will have to buy the items off of other users to get them. What really bothers me about this is that the users who got them the right way won't sell them. If they weren't interested in them they wouldn't have bothered to hunt in the first place because of the lag, and the ones who did will want to keep them. Meaning the only items in the Market will be those of cheaters, and they'll be incredibly pricey too. I don't know about others, but I really don't want to motivate cheaters by buying their stuff o.O

I haven't even seen a single Bunny Den item of this year on the market. This way, many of us won't get a full set.

I'm really disappointed with this whole thing. The honest users will suffer from cheaters and we just have to accept that we will miss the items and probably never get them since they will be far too expensive.
I hope there will be another way to get those items, because just saying "Your loss!" and that's it is not really a solution...

Firn wrote:And if you only got 14 eggs in 7 days it means that, at least statistically, you have made a total of 6 clicks on KOfK a day. If you expected that with 6 clicks a day you could get even a decent amount of eggs, then I understand why you thought it was difficult, but here on KOfK we like to go by the guideline that you have to earn things and put effort into things, and making 6 clicks a day is not really any effort.

I fed my knuffels, dug on candy island, did the eggplantation thing und clicked through some threads.
When the website was too laggy to feed my knuffels I left.
Today I spent one hour in this website and got one egg.

edit: Is it possible that eggs only (or mostly) appear in the forum?

Isn't it always the same? The cheaters cheat and spoil it for us. They're why we can't have nice things. We have this conversation all the time, but it can't be helped. As long as they cheat, we'll go on suffering. So far, nobody has come up with a solution.
