Kohlrabi (whatever the heck that is!)
Fire, you don't know Kohlrabi? It's great, one of my favourite vegetables to just cut in sticks and snack. Very crunchy and delightful. Or alternatively, cooked with a bit of cream, then it's soft and melty.

I'm actually not sure when it is in season, but I think you can get it pretty much all year round here (Germany).

Kohlrabi is pretty common in South India too. My grandfather happens to love it XD

Facepalm, I just googled it and realized we have these too.
Though I have never really eaten it before, just in soups or some stuffing somewhere

Food is sometimes difficult to talk about because it just has vastly different names in different regions/languages :D

Yeah indeed, here we call this phinokio or marathoriza so I would never had guessed. :qt:

I have to admit those names sound a lot cooler than Kohlrabi ;)

I may have tried it while I was in Vietnam and just didn't know it. ^^;
But it is not found where I grew up. Nor in many of the places I've visited. x.x
I was suppose to go to Germany to meet C's mum for Oktoberfest this year, but that just got cancelled, as did the rest of our European adventures for now. C's mum just got diagnosed with breast cancer. She lives alone, and C's sister just moved out of state, is stuck in a year long lease with roommates, and has a new job that she can't get time off from. So C and I are flying to VA (in the middle of high season, getting a ticket 3 weeks out, RIP my savings) to take care of her during treatment.
And I haven't been to India yet. Someday! I have always wanted to attend Holi. Talk about a photographer's paradise! <3
