Well, at least it had some positive effects :)

I don't know but it seems it could be useful to have some parts of it inside of school curriculum.
I sure never had any kind of education about alcohol aside from a firm "don't drink" from my mother, which is never the best way to prevent a teenager to drink.

I'm kinda allergic to alcohol but that never stopped me from consuming it - though I am a social drinker.

Oh this is a legal requirement to sell alcohol.. and you have to be over 18 to get this certification/card

tbh I'm not sure a teen would understand some of it but I guess if they learned some of it, it might help.

It mostly goes over how to tell who's too intoxicated, what to do with said person, the laws, etc.

@River: Well at least I'm pretty sure it wouldn't hurt a teen to know what to do with someone intoxicated, or to tell how and when someone is.
Most probably wouldn't care but I still find it strange that we had police coming and telling us drug is bad while saying nothing about alcohol. Most of us had already been drunk at least once before even entering high school so I kinda think that would be useful.

I remember in high school the uh school constable? he told us about how drugs and alcohol are bad but that it is legally and I think biologically better to wait till 18 or older to drink (18 being legal drinking age here and that the brain is still developing before 18).

Like one long term effect is nerve damage to the arms and legs.

Or alcohol dependency. Or cancer or dementia.. there's a bit of a list..

I've tried drinking, I don't mind cider or the odd baileys with milk but tbh I still don't see the point.

I love my sweet drinks way too much. I made it a rule not to drink at home and there's only so much you can drink in a few hours while I'm out.

I've been having more and more troubles recovering from drinking so I'm drinking less and less as I get older. Which isn't bad at all XD
