Ah. Yeah. Some of my Elders' parents ran from that mess. I've only ever really heard about it from highly biased sources, therefor. It might be interesting to look into it from a more unbiased historic standpoint...

Didn't you at least talk about it a little in school? I was pretty sure everyone in the world more or less touched on the subject or at the very least mentionned it.
(I only say that from a very curious standpoint, how other countries learn history in school is very interesting to me so don't take it badly)

Here we mostly focused on our own countries' history and did very general lessons on world history - I had to study history outside the school because it really wasn't helpful at all.

You're from Greece right? We study ancient Greece history in France actually. (Because I'm French ^^)
Mainly, the way we learn history in France is made to make us understand more or less why we're at the point we're at in history at the moment we learn it.
It also means it's mainly focused on France and on Europe.

Yes, and that's cool. I find the ancient history to be the most interesting.
That's good, I wish we had spent more time on other regions' history. I recently started looking into Asian history and it's pretty interesting - plus I like to see how one nation influenced and communicated with others and we didn't have much of these.
