Watermills are so cool though, saw one recently and I just stood there watching it for way longer than I probably should.

Gosh, yes, they're hypnotic! I find them even more fascinating than windmills, probably because they're more constantly in motion and the motion rate doesn't change as fast, so you can kind of get mezmerized. Or however you spell that word. Mesmerized? Yeah, that looks better.

Plus that lovely sound of the water running down.

Water and fire, what is it with those two? You can get lost in a daze staring at a fire and hearing it crackle, you can get lost staring at a stream and hearing it trickle...

Haha true, my favorite winter activity is probably reading by the fireplace and watching it slowly burn the wood. I also love the burning wood smell so much.

Yeah, woodsmoke is such a wonderfully comforting smell, and it invokes so many great memories.

Now that brings back memories of scouting - all gathering around the campfire and telling stories. Scary stories were the most expected!
