YA = young adult

I'm sure you'd have heard because they're so popular. Percy Jackson, Twilight, John Green, all those biggies are YA.
(I dislike the first two though and I haven't tried John Green but I'm a voracious YA reader, too. It's what I usually read.)

@mysticalmoon: Gosh darn that's sad ;_;

This dress is gorgeous!

As far as reading goes I haven't been reading much lately. Mostly because I have troubles finding books in a language I can read well.
I'd read in Japanese but it's hard on my brain and I use my native language so little that I'm starting to forget it -___-

How lovely :mclove: I will always lament how I can't get Lolita fashion where I live.

@Kuuki: Maybe you could try reading manga then, it'll be less text for you to struggle through?

Kyan: that dress is adorable. :D

Amber: have you heard of The Unexpected Everything? I finished it recently, and it was so good.

That's a lovely dress!

What about 'classic' YA books like "A Wrinkle In Time"?

@Death Candy: I don't like them either, I mentioned those two because they're the likeliest for you to have heard of.
Twilight is so problematic and all the characters in Percy Jackson sound the same ;_;

I'd suggest Delirium by Lauren Oliver, and Undone by Cat Clarke- actually, anything by Cat Clarke. They're not the absolute best YA out there but they're pretty good, and they're also very much within the genre, as in they'll give you a feel for what the genre is typically like.

@mysticalmoon: Added it to my TBR ;)

@Akili: I liked 'A Wrinkle In Time'. It seemed simple but a lot of thought obviously went into it.

Where do you live Am? Majority of online sites ship Lolita in pretty much any country in the world! I bought my dress online because where I live there are zero physical shops for Lolita haha

HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY :mcgrin:

Oh I've seen online stores but they charge way too much for shipping to India :mccry: I can get like 3-4 ordinary dresses for that price.
