Ahhh, that's kind of a hard one... I do agree that the site needs more things to keep new users interested, since we're losing a lot of them, but I really don't think up-ing the amount of full events in a year is possible @.@ I float around a lot of areas of the site and read a lot of the discussions about workloads, ect, and it seems like the admins can barely keep up with the normal Spring/Summer/Halloween/Doughnight events. It's just not always obvious unless you go read them talking about it, because they've always been able to pull it all together in time, knowing that cancelling a full expected event would be murder on the forums and donations.
I feel like some of the problem is that 80% of the newbies seem confused out of their mind by the time they get around to posting for the first time. A lot of people are working really diligently in the newbie forum to help with that, but I think we're hurting now that the forums are slower, and a lot of things like community charities shut down. Also feeding contests. I used to live off of feeding contests when I first joined. But happy pills and lava lamps and such came out, which are really fantastic items when you're an older user, but they wiped out one of the bigger ways to make food when you first start out.

Oh no I know! I totally understand, I can't imagine running a site with 1.5 people, that's crazy!
I have a feeding contest going for art >.> I can't supply folks with FP just yet XD Since I'm still being supplied.
But I get you, when I first joined, I was afraid to buy any item that had Knuffel in the name because I thought maybe they were items only your knuffel could wear, not realizing they came FROM knuffels.
