Aha, it's a less than 300$ a month scholarship so whether or not I'll get it isn't going to influence my life much.
Honestly, I'm pretty sure the essay is mostly to see who is going to make the extra effort among the top students but I still want to do it well if I can.
And all this talk about sweets is making me want some.

Hm.
I guess there are some jawbreakers that might do that, but I think it was already guessed in 'chewing gum'.

is it licorice?
('cause now i come to think of it, caramel isn't sticky when it's hard 
but licorice is sticky even when it's just moist, and then it's soft when it's melted)

Wait, as in licorice fern? That's not sticky at all? It's more... fibrous. And yeah it's a little sweet but the more you chew on it the more bitter it gets...

Um...I don't really remember how to write about one's self. I think you write about what makes you a good candidate for the scholarship. Your strong points, your determination that sort of thing. What inspired you to continue your schooling.
I should just put a picture of me naked in the application instead XD
Aha, guess I'll throw in some random things about how perfect I am and how this scholarship would help me devote more time to getting into a better university or things like that -__-
It still isn't easy at all. I'd rather write a 8 pages essay on history or something.

I know how that is. I don't like writing about me either. I'm dull and boring.

You're one of those people, aren't you, when you're asked about yourself you turn it aside somehow into a joke or a discussion of something you saw/did recently instead?
I need to learn those skills more. How to engage with people on a level that doesn't end up revealing too much....
How did you learn those skills?
