Not familiar with contracts? How so? You always need a contract to work, otherwise it's illegal

I think our contracts are way different here.
Like it just says you work here now, we can fire you for any reason, blah blah blah. They're not super specific.

Well, we have all kinds of contracts, they can be specific or basically say nothing at all It really depends on the company imo.

Me thesis is on problems of Anglo-Indian identity in Rudyard Kipling's novel Kim and Hari Kunzru's novel The Impressionist. Iiii kind of had no idea what I was doing while writing this stuff so yeah XD

Kind of, yes. One book report, another book report, interpretations of both in the face of some colonial and post-colonial thought, then comparing the two, then coming to some conclusions. Like, everything is relative and stuff like that.
Doctorate? Whoa, that thesis is only going to give me a Bachelor of Arts title, no Master's, I can't even think about Master's let alone Doctorate xD Seriously, I'm mentally too weak, I pay with my health and sanity -.-

Sounds interesting. Though I feel like it's kind of a spoiler to read the book report before you read the book. lol. And I imagine that it's probably in Polish so that's not a language I'm even kind of familiar with.

I'm sure you'll do great though. It's usually a matter of perspective in these cases. I always got really good grades on essays. Of course, a thesis is a lot harder than an essay. Not to diminish your accomplishments.

Yeah, my thesis is in Polish ^^; But the books are in English, so go ahead xD Kim was kind of painful to read tbh... The Impressionist as well, but in a different way. The latter is a bit sad

Public speaking is super scary. You should practice a bunch. It really helps.

Tehy are fiction, but loosely based on historical events (as in, the actual history is mentioned along the way a lot of times, the times when India was a British colony for Kim, and when British Empire was losing its power over India for The Impressionist).

That's interesting, would've never thought. My thesis is about 40 pages long, but it's inlcuding the scientific transcription notes, the bibliography, table of contents and so on. The actual text would be 30-something pages. It's a pretty short thesis tbh.

Ah, cool. I'm into historical fiction. And I do wish that I knew more about India's history. I might check them out.

We you can practice in front of your boyfriend. Or just come up with questions yourself and answer them and then ask boyfriend if they sound logical. It's really helpful. I've done it a ton with my husband.

Well it's not for lack of trying. I was in college for a long while. But I switched my major halfway through and then I ran out of financial aid. So that sucked. I hope to go back one day. Maybe get my degree. I was wanting psychology but now I'm thinking in computer science or something like that?

Oh that is pretty short. That's probably the difference then. Most doctorate theses over here are like 300 pages long. It's super intense.
