I am currently reading The Curse of Capistrano.
It's sorta good. I can definitely see why the character Zorro became so popular after this book.

Actually, just finished Howl's moving castle By Diana Wynne Jones and really loved the book, though that doesn't come as a huge suprise since the movie animated by Studio Ghibli has always been my favorite Miyazaki film, now I need to get my hands on the rest of the series.

I've been doing some very fast rereads while trying to sort through and potentially get rid of some books.

So the library books I'm actually trying to get through are taking a while. I've got two out by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child and started the second one first, then realized it and closed it to start the first one, but haven't finished either yet.

I only ever read Handmaid's Tale, by her. It was not a fun place for me to spend time, emotionally, which I know probably means she succeeded in what she was trying to do with the book, but.... it does mean I'm not going to pick up anything else by her, since I read for entertainment, not for enlightenment. Or at least not primarily.

Handmaid's Tale was my first time reading Margaret Atwood and I had the opposite reaction - made me want more. I guess it depends on each person and where they are emotionally when they read a book like that. Some of her more "entertaining" books I would say is the MaddAddam series and The Heart Goes Last. Also recommend Alias Grace if you like historical stuff. Her writing is very diverse.

gave up on two audiobooks. either the format is not for me, or I've finally reached the point where DNFing is easy

I hope it's that DNFing is easier for you, because honestly that's a good skill for a reader to have, so you can concentrate on the books you actually really want to spend your time with....
