It's already evening for me - had a bit of a lazy day, but I did do some work on a uni project that I need to do, so it's not too bad. Right now I'm just watching some youtube. How about you?

I am so fried. I really am very much looking forward to a fortnight from now. Barring emergencies, I've blocked that day off and have managed to find someone else to take over responsibilities, and that WHOLE DAY I can just sleep or read at the library or find a tree to climb or actually go mushrooming or something else that is just.... relaxing, and no responsibilities. It will be fantastic. I just have to make it to then and hope nothing happens that oversets the plans.

That sounds great Akili, the perfect thing to look forward to in stressful times. You'll make it to there, don't worry.

Going into the forest and picking up edible mushrooms, I would assume?

I'll be afraid I'll pick the wrong ones. I'll stick to the store ones

Yeah, if you don't know what you're doing, that's better.
I believe in some places there are experts that you can show the mushrooms you got to and who will help you make sure that none of them are dangerous, though.

Oh, sorry, yes... mushrooming means going out and picking mushrooms for whatever purpose.

There are some local varieties here which are not only edible but have no non-edible 'look-alikes' that grow here, so those are the ones I do for eating. (There are also a number which grow here and are edible but you need a fair bit of expertise because there are also non-edible look-alikes which grow here as well)
Then there are some I pick to make dyes and ink from, and some shelf fungi which I pick because you can try them and carve them like very fine-grained wood, and the results are beautiful and worth it.

Just have to make it another not-quite-two-weeks!
