But this huge photobook isn't even bond like a real book, it's a loose-leaf book, because it was such a weird "We have this over 200 awesome pictures from this special anniversary concert, but you only get to pick like 40 and we'll make them into a book for you" thing.

... I see the problem, it's huge!!! ... buy some frames and put them up as works of art ... that way your kitty wont mess them up ... or plaster them all over the ceiling ... new decorating scheme and all ...
... is the other one a picture book as well??? ...

I have ti think of something...the huge one is rotting like this for almost a year now. 
The other one is a picture & text book. The vocalist had a column in a fashion magazine, where he was writing different texts, poems etc...it's summed up in that book though many of the pictures (especially the ones that were so old that I didn't have the particular magazine issue) were missing. I was a bit disappointed because I thought it was a complete collection that summed up all of this columns when they ended them and started a new one called "Tokoy Panorama".
Oh, I guess the girl auctioning off the photobook didn't expect it to get that high, she is not charging shipping costs to the girl who bought it from me. Now all that's left are the shipping costs from Japan to Germany. I chose the cheapest possibility which isn't ensured but the ensure done would be like 10x as much and I've already spent too much money on this so I have to take the risk.

... um, maybe you should scan the pics and make smaller versions that you can actually make into a book ... then again, a scanner that big is unlikely ...
... um, that must've sucked ... was it bought at ebay??? ...
... wtf, 10 times as much just to have it insured??? ... what company's shipping it anyways??? ... O.o ...

No, it was bought all regularly from amazon.jp.
I usually don't buy my Plastic Tree stuff from auctions but directly from the stores when they come out.
I don't get the shipping rates in Japan, but the only shipping that is insured is EMS, which only takes like one week, but is horribly expensive, the next is SAL, which is a LOT cheaper, but not ensured.

... yeah, it's better just to buy stuff directly from the source ... auctions can be so stressing and time consuming ...
... I guess if I ever want to start a business, it's in the shipping industry ... I'll be rich in no time!!! ...
