I will try the eye thing. I try to make them the same but it never work out. Apparently people are saying we need to really add changes since their a lot of work.

@Cyan: Do you want to catch the panda knuffel for me? I was going to give him to you any way and I miss one yesterday. Someone (I know it maybe more than 1 person) know she doing drop and stalking the shop. So I don't think I am good enough at catching them.

Yeah. That's not a magpie. That's an Australian Magpie, a totally different bird.
The Pica family doesn't get that large, and certainly not that aggressive towards humans, not even during breeding time. xD
As for eye contact, they can't give a flying fuck whether you're looking at them or not. The Corvidae family does communicate via eye contact a lot, but they won't fly away for someone who's merely looking at them... ^_^;;

I'm sure it must have been a beautiful sight though, but at that size I doubt it was a magpie. Maybe it was a crow? There are certain types that look like magpies, but they do have black wings... That it flew away when you looked at it may have been a coincidence.
Where do you live again? America, right? Which part?

I've never seeing a bird fly away just because I looked at them o.O" Usually they do that because you come too close.
My cat sometimes runs away when I look at him. But that just means he wants to play xD

@Ruby: Uuuuh what? ^^; I didn't get that. You want me to catch a panda for you?
And if someone's stalking because of a drop then ... wait with the drop?^^;

Crows are larger than magpies, so if it was the size of an unusually big crow, it certainly was no magpie. :p
Sadly the crows I was talking about, Pied Crows, only live in Africa >>
So I have no idea what you encountered.
In Central Missouri there should be normal Black-Billed Maggies, though.
So maybe it wasn't that big at all and was it a magpie after all :)
