Hello, dear!
I'm doing alright! I had a lot of fun today, Kevin and I went to the How-To Festival that my local library holds once a year!
I fenced, learned to make baklava, played some board games, got a henna tattoo, and learned about cheese! Woohoo!

It was just about a perfect day. Except for the INTENSE downpour we got. I was completely soaked in a minute or so.

And then when we got home my mom (that I dislike a lot) called me and tried to guilt me into watching over my grandmother tomorrow. Ugh.

How have you been?

Ooooh that sounds like a lot of fun! Especially the baklava and cheese. :mcsquee:

I was hoping for rain but no such luck! We had a lot yesterday.

My mom is pretty good at guilt trips too, I never fall for them though. :mctongue:

Not that bad... hanging in there! Thanks.

What are you up to tonight?

It really was!

We have been getting intense downpours the last couple days. It rarely rains this hard here. It's so weird. Stupid climate change!

I feel that my mammaw has 7 kids, so that's plenty of people to spread the time around. ESPECIALLY since one of them is just a stay at home mom to two teenagers aka don't really need to be tended to anymore.

I already gave up a bunch of my life going over there EVERY weekend and EVERY summer break when I was a teenager and taking care of the woman. Someone else can take a damn turn. I'm tired of being forced to take care of people!

That's good.
How's kitty and boyfriend?

Not much really. I've been yelling at Kevin for about 20 minutes to get out of the bed to fix us dinner.

7 kids wow... that's around how many mom grandma had too. They were big into baby making back then huh? I don't blame you though... taking care of people is very emotionally draining... for me anyway.

I think they're both doing a lot better... and hopefully by Monday they will be doing awesome! I'm a little sad though, M's work schedule was changed so he's working random night shifts and weekends.

I haven't eaten yet either! So many dishes to do first, I'm putting it off... lol.

Well, hormonal birth control didn't come out until the 60s. My grandmother couldn't take the first ones they came out with because they made her sick and my grandfather refused to wear a condom.
Yeah, I don't want to take care of people except for my boyfriend. It's lame. I'm not that kind of person. I don't have the energy to care for a bunch of people. Another reason I would be a horrible mother.

Woohoo feeling better!
Dammit, shitty schedules! I hate when Kevin gets scheduled so we barely have any time together.

I think that's why Kevin doesn't want to cook. Ugh. He won't do any damned dishes and he gets mad at me when there aren't any clean ones even though it's HIS chore.

Too true, didn't think about that.

Same, I only like taking care of mine and my kitty. Spending time with my niece today made me realize even more that I never want kids ever! She's horrible... :mcdead: Not even two yet.

I know! It makes me sad and mad... I was so used to having the same schedule, he's pissed about it too. Plus him and his dad have been fighting a lot so... his dad is being really rude and crazy.

Lol sounds about right!

Ugh, my niece was a horrible horrible child. I got the added bonus of having to actually raise her. I tried really really hard to be a good and fair guardian, but I was just a kid myself. Soooo, that didn't turn out super well. At least she seems to be getting smarter as she gets older. She was so ridiculously stupid when she was young. Blargh.

I love set schedules. They're so awesome.
What's his dad doing?

I told him that we could trade chores so I would do the dishes and he would do the laundry IF he got the dishes down to a reasonable level. No compliance yet. :qsweat:

I mean I hear when they are two they act horrible... but I guess she is starting a little early. I can't see me raising a kid. It looks like so much work and energy.

I know, the one thing I love dearly about my own job.
Just starting shit for no reason. He's mad that M won't leave the state with him, so he's saying bad things about me and our relationship to try to get him to leave me or something, he's acting like a child. I can't stand him even more now.

I still can't get M to do anything... so I feel your pain.
