I'm a bit confuse about the end date of the event.
Does it mean that it will end before the 2nd or does it mean that it'll end before the 3rd?

Usually it's before the 3rd... so durng the 2nd, usually when it is already evening or night where Firn lives, the ghosts are switched off...
That is as far as I have experienced... ^^"
I would like to now if the tompstone will stay open a few more days this time or not. o.o

Just to let you know: I asked Firn about the Tompstone and she said that it will stay open some more days. So there is no hurry to spend all ghosts today. =)

You wouldn't postopone ending the ghost appearances for a day, would you? I only need one day to get all of the stuff I need

I know, I was just whining xD that's why I said it was my own fault :D I know very well that if the event was prolonged, it would become a habit for people to beg for that and... bleh. Not good, I suppose. I don't really like beggars xD .
