Did that really kill the computer? Normally you should be free to turn it back on again, though whatever you were working on would be lost. I've blown up two laptops so far because I use them literally 12 hours a day lol, it tends to fry the motherboard eventually. But I've also become fairly good at saving computers that seem on the brink of death XD

Lol, I use my laptop 12hrs a day, but I don't really "work" on them as in it's nothing hard or extreme, I just browse the internet xD

I can run some pretty heavy programs lol. Photoshop especially.
And I use up a lot of storage space with my photos, even with putting a lot of old files onto external harddrives.

I guess the hardest program for me would be that Corel Painter Essentials, but I don't use it often (or at all... :mcsweat: ), because I make tons of excuses like always... I can't break the cycle :mccry:

I use gimp, it can be quite tricky.

What's tricky about Gimp? o3o

Also the best "anti-virus" you can get is Ublock, which is a browser add on. Free, super simple, easy to turn on and off and blocks 99% of crap the internet tries to throw at you.

Because it doesn't have quite the same things as photoshop and a lot of the time you have to download add ons for that and tbh a lot of people prefer other programs.

I used to use Gimp but once I upgraded to Photoshop I couldn't ever look back. Too bad it's so expensive. Especially now they changed to the monthly cloud subscription instead of one-time fee :mcdead:

Yeah, that sucks so much! Of course it takes a while till the monthly fee adds up to what a one-time purchase would costs, but still, if you want to use it for a long time (which I am completely fine with, because I don't like switching to never versions once I get used to it), you reach a point where the monthly fee becomes overy expensice. C6 for example came out in 2012 for $700. In Germany the monthly fee for photoshop is 36€, that's $44. (It's a bit cheaper if you pay for a longer period of time at once, but then again you have to come up with the sum at once, which isn't really an option for me right now).
So, instead of having paid $700 once and using it till now (which is what I do) you would end up paying $3100 for the same product in that time. $3100 vs $700! Imagine that!
I am dreading the moment when C6 stops working on my computer and I will have to switch to a version that's only available as monthly subscription. :qcry:
