@Chriz: I agree cooking together is a lot better and fun. Usually we cook together as well, and we share some duties. Plus it takes less time to make everything. When I cooked myslef yesterday I couldn't trust myself to cut the veggies during having something on the stove already, as we usually do so when we cook together. So I had to cut everything first, which took a long time, then I could proceed with actual cooking. And I have a tendency to cook and immediately do the dishes I got dirty, so theres also that XD
I like doing dishes and I like doing them immediately, so they wouldn't lay int he sink. The longer they do, the more I don't feel like doing them, unless I'm put on edge and need some time to myself XD

@Moi: I can make swet omlettes! :D But there are a few version of how to make them XD and I can make pancakes.
I once got lazy and asked bf to make our daily omlettes. He just put the eggs on the frying pan and mashed it and that's it. That was his omlette... Never again am I going to let him make one xD I tried to teach him my recipe and he kind of remembers, but I don't know if I'll ever let him make one without my supervision :qlol:
I need to find some noodle recipe and make it someday. Are they difficult to make?

Ouch, auntie! XD

We have the same conversations too... not just about dinner but about everything XD both of us is trying to be nice to the other one and say "no, whatever you want is fine, you decide", so we don't get anywhere. Or we end up being stupid and doing something neither of us wants because we both thought the other did XD At least it's kinda funny afterwards.

I used to be a terrible cook until J and I got together. I don't know what happened then but suddenly all I wanted to do was to learn how to cook for him. I even have a scar on my arm where I got my first ever oven burn because I was making him dinner for the first time and I got all panicked. Then I decided to prioritise serving him instead of washing my burn so it ended up pretty bad XD

I would love to cook for more people, not like a chef but more like for dinner parties of large numbers. Like 10 people or something. I would really love to put on a big spread with lots of different elements. I get flustered in the kitchen but whenever I achieve something that has multiple elements I feel really proud of myself.

Like recently, I made a "Korean feast" for just the two of us which had store-bought kimchi, doenjang jjigae, and bulgogi. That felt great to see it all served up nicely :D

I would love to cook together with my husband - Well, not the actual "cooking" part, but I would love to help out by chopping up vegetables and stuff like this. But he always complains that I am "in his way" when he is cooking and wants me out of the kitchen... :qcry:

Mine does the same Firn. Also I prefer to eat than cook

I'm the opposite. I usually need help with cooking because if it takes too long I can end up in a lot of pain or just not being able to continue, so I ask J to help me do little tasks all the time. Sometimes he will help me with one thing and then go sit down on the sofa because I haven't said the next task yet :mcgloom: I need a full-time kitchen assistant. Things like clearing up, getting the next things needed out of the cupboard or fridge, and so on.

I sort of understand him, my grandma always gets in my way and I just want her to get out of the kitchen x.x But she's not the one I cook with, she's just doing her own stuff and that's why XD

@jacob: in other words, you need me :qg:

Aww, the pups even look sad :qf:

Mud pups! What a precious photo :qlov:
Hope the sun comes out for you soon, Firn!

Mem, I understand the 'doing her own stuff but still getting in the way' thing. I love cooking with my boyfriend, but the kitchen is an average sized thing, so when parents use it we just end up standing awkwardly until they're done.
They're kinda rude sometimes - like just monopolising the prep area we were clearly in the middle of using - but don't realise it.
This is one of those 'can't wait until we save up enough for our own place' things. >__>

@mem: Yes! I'd offer you to stay in our spare room but I don't think we have the space for Ash + rats :mclol:

Oh wow that weather looks awful. We've had pretty boring but standard weather over here, not too wet but cold and windy all the time. Meanwhile J is sending me messages about his 43C weather and making me jealous :mcgloom:
