I don't think such behavior comes from spoiling a cat. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs after all and each one of them is really different with a very different personaility and different behavior. While how you treat them certainly has a great impact on how they behave, I guess some things are just the way they are. I read a book about dog behavor a while ago from an author I really like, because she is a behavioral scientist, and she explained how for example shyness is mostly due to genetics and that reserach has shown that if a shy mother gets a baby, but the baby is raised by someone else, the child will still turn out to be shy. So I think there are only some things we can influence.
I should have guessed there was something "wrong" with this cat when we picked her up. All the others were playing around, being like kittens are, while she was hiding alone underneath the heating unit. She didn't even seem to like her own siblings. She was the only one that had not found a home, probably because of her behavior. This was 11 years ago and I was not very experienced with animals back then, but with the knowlege I have now, I would probably not have taken a kitten that showed such behavior.

With spoiling I meant allowing her to bit me while she was a kitten and then she just learned she's allowed to do it. But what you said makes more sense

The video is of two FLUFFY, stupid, utterly adorable kitties reacting to their first snow. I don't mean stupid in a bad way, it just means they're cuddly little housecat babies, and not the rowdy monsters of barn cat persuasion that I grew up with. I had a little girl of the housecat blood once, and I had to learn to be gentle, because she didn't understand rough and tumble and was frightened by it (though also very forgiving). Strangely enough... she was the cat who wanted to shower with me! But then, she was also a literal copy cat who wanted to do all the things that I did. She was fluffy and cute like the cats in the video, with the same kind of adorable little face, but she had Siamese blood, which made her very smart and curious and interested in her person. She talked too, but not in a Siamese voice. It was a little voice, as sweet as the rest of her.
