That's like driving from Sydney to Canberra. Still within the state but then again a lot of NSW is nothing but trees and desert.

I assume there isn't much high skilled work there? When people say towns I think farms and iron deposits. Maybe because I was on google maps looking at the towns on the edge of NSW. lol. I really have no clue what constitutes a town.

It's a farming area. I come from Norfolk which in the UK might as well be another word for hillbilly lol. We only have one city in the entire county. (still saying 'we' even though I moved out 10 years ago lolololol) Most people end up working in factories tbh.

It's three counties away for me. Four if you count London but you only have to go around the edge of it to get here XD

Interesting fact: cities in the UK have to have a cathedral and then be granted city status officially. I think there are a few small exceptions but that's the rule to remember XD
(disclaimer: may not be an interesting fact)

@Poshi

Ahhh, I would be so down for getting a Totoro! My mom's the one who's a big fan of them, though.

An alpaca sounds nice too.

I don't collect them. I play with them. And beat them up once in awhile to get the dust out (kind of like a small rug). Vacuuming them is sometimes fun.
Mikael Hart wrote:Since we're speaking of plushes, btw, do you guys have a favorite that you own?
The Beanie Boo horse. He looks ridiculously happy, and is the right size and shape to hug while typing or gaming.

Am I meant to compliment the ones I feel indifferent about? I'm not really the empty compliment kind of person and I rather say nothing than something that might offend someone.

I've never seen a red panda toy before.

Maybe I'm unaware of these social rules O_O
Well *thinks about my own hard learned experience*. I've found that a neutral response often soothes. Something like, "You like so and so, huh? I never could get into that." But I know that I am one of the most socially inept of mortals, so I might be totally out to lunch.

I have tons of plushies :mclaugh: Growing up we got one every birthday and every christmas, plus whatever other people gave us, so they added up fast. I just gave away about a third of them last year, but I should probably go through and give away some others now too.

@Tam I am

I'm definitely more of a collector.

@KimiLavender

Oh, are you giving them away because you have too many?

Yeah :mclaugh: They take up way too much space and I have so many of them, you know? So I'd rather they go to a kid that will enjoy them instead of being stuck in a closet or a box :mchappy:

Sounds fair to me.

Do you guys name your plushies, btw?

Aha, I name some, and I forget some. If it's a fandom plush or an OC plush, they already have names, of course.

I have a turtle pillow pet named Melon from back when my mom went nuts and bought like fifty of those things.

I also have Todd, who's a fox that my friend won for me from the county fair. (Another duo of friends also helped me win a giant donut plush, but it's unnamed.)

Then there's a Timmy or Tommy (I can't remember which it was), which was a frog I got when I was five. It still smells like my grandma from the time I thought it would be good idea to douse him in my grandma's perfume. I think I put lipstick on him at some point as well. His eye has been sewn back on and his side has been stitched.

None of my other plushies are named; not even my other favorites. I don't know why I've never named my snakes. If I had the space (and it wouldn't terrify my mom) I'd totally be mounting them on my wall.
