Is that about the origin of Mary Poppins? If so I saw it myself just last week, it was on tv at my parents. If not what is it about? :'P

american tail is about a family of mice, in particular the youngest little mouse that goes on a really heavy journey. Its an animated kids movie but it definitely handles very adult themes, on purpose. It has a couple sequels too but I haven't checked if Netflix had those yet

It's quite old but that makes it so cute/pretty imo, the art style is really nice, by Don Bluth if you're familiar with his works ;o

No, I haven't heard of him, but then again, that doesn't necessarily mean much. I don't tend to remember the names of people involved in movies at all... I could know his works but never know his name.

I remember it was super cute but also super sad. I might not have been in the best state of mind to watch it at the time though... My memories are pretty hazy of those months in general. Maybe I should rewatch it, I'm pretty sure I would be able to enjoy it more and cry less now.

nope it really is filled with both happy and sad things, as is american tail btw

its what I love about his films actually, they're children's movies but he isn't afraid to handle adult themes in them. Esp in american tail it features a lot of stuff that looking back as an adult makes you realise he really put in a lot of meaning and themes that other filmmakers would steer away from.

I cry everytime I see lil flatfoot, definitely at least once haha there are 2 scenes that always kill me and I end up crying at at least one of them c':
