Ohhh, nice, looking forward to seeing the reds :) It's one of my favourite colours :)

Warm brown sounds nice, too!

Hehe, I definitely get wanting to have different-looking dresses. It's more fun to play around with different outfits after all. And it's easier to justify having them all ;)

i love me some pastels o w o but i also love gothic lolita so.

thank you so much for those resources, Doki! i actually found a strawberry gingham dress on my-lolita-dress that's just within budget. i suppose shipping costs are separate though :mcheh: but like. before, i couldn't even imagine being able to own a lolita dress. you're an angel :qh:

lacemarket looks great too! but i'd definitely have to pay for shipping. i'm from india and there aren't really sellers from there.

My new favourite word is buttcape :D
(It was an overskirt that was longer in the back)

Is it possible to search by seller location, Mynah? I didn't see anything like that.

So far I have 2 reds, with one on the way that has been a dream dress of mine for a long time cx

I love the browns a lot cause they give a more mature look. I have 3 browns and 2 of them lean towards a more 'elegant' lady look and I love slipping them on just going out as they're comfortable and less eye-catching but still definitely an elegant alternative look ~

Yeah I love to play around, mix and match, but my main pieces I def want to have their own look. My accessories can be basic, so I can wear them with a lot of dresses, but if your dresses all look the same except for minute details then imo it gets boring real quick?

I have to say a lot of dresses from the same brand can look really similar if you get them in the exact same colour and cut (style of dress) and I always think that say if you wear lolita every single day for a week, you should be able to have people know they're all different dresses :'P

It is possible to search by region on Lacemarket! And I am pretty sure Glitzy has pieces that offer free shipping? Some people on Lacemarket do the same if they really want to get rid of an item haha

Yeah, one should definitely be able to tell whether you're wearing the same dress for a week or not :D
I mean, little details are cute and everything, but if the outfit ends up basically looking the same from afar, that would be boring to me.

Oh, yes, I can definitely see brown dresses looking elegant and mature without seeming to extravagant if you don't wear a ton of accessories with them :)
That's something I could actually imagine for myself, some cute but not over the top dress that I can just wear casually as a summer dress. I don't think I'm quite the type for the whole outfit coordinated with a bunch of bows and ruffles style... But I do like the shape of lolita dresses a lot.

I have several dresses that are brand, when worn with a petticoat are lolita, but are also perfect for casual outfits. Brands even release a style of dress called a cutsew dress that is literally meant for comfortable casual wear. I have this dress as my go-to casual piece c;

That sounds nice :)
I think I need to remember that term...
Do you know why they call it cutsew?

its a loose translation from Japanese to English I think? Basically just got adopted as the English term for lolita/lolitable shirts so now a shirt that can be used for lolita is called a cutsew and a dress that has the top part like a shirt is called a cutsew dress/op (op stands for one piece, a dress with sleeves that you don't need to wear a blouse or cutsew under))
