Sadly the number of artists and writers in general has really declined on kofk, there used to be so many more :c

and fanfiction/writing has always been less popular than art at least I think so?

on that note I'm seriously considering having the writing part of my contest be writing bios for my Flightrising dragons c':

Oh dragon bios sounds like a fun contest! Do you have some ideas about what you'd want in there or are you planning to just give people the dragons to look at and then let them surprise you?

Right, jacob, I remember that thread... Maybe I should go take a look how far it was until the next chapter would be funded :P But I think part of the issue might be that the chapters get more and more expensive, so it's less realistic to just clear one in one go. To me, that lowers the incentive to invest in it, since I don't know how long it would take until enough is put together to actually have a new chapter come out.

I'd let people pick a dragon from like the first 2-3 pages of my lair and come up with something they seem fitting. It could be a short backstory lore thing, a funny anecdote/adventure they see the dragon having, a personality description, a poem or haiku inspired by the draagon etc. All up for choice :P

I think the first poem I ever wrote (in elementary school, at least it's the first I remember writing) was about a dragon :P Actually, even a picture of a dragon, I think I had painted the picture in school? I think I did the poem just because I wanted to, I think I was only supposed to draw the picture.
Hahaha, all that was so long ago, my memory is all fuzzy. I still remember pieces of the poem though! Like, two lines maybe ;)

Could I be writing fanfic or dragon bios for you for some of these things I have on hold? Get through them a little faster and give you something you might actually like?

Maybe do up a batch of a dozen or so, assume you'd like at least a third of them, and let you value them?

I'm not sure about that plan though, as going off on 'assuming you like a third' means that 2/3 of your work will basically be for nothing? You're going to put time and effort into something with the thought that half of your work could be for nothing, that doesn't sit right with me. Doesn't sound fair to you I mean.

The other part is that it'd be an arrangement outside of my contest, with the same subject. I think it'd be weird to have people write bios in hopes of getting a prize, meanwhile you are writing bios with an agreement already set that you'll get something out of it. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right but I mostly mean that I don't really want to make an arrangement like that outside of my contest which will have the exact same subject.

You can just enter all your writings in the contest, maybe win fp or fc and then exchange them for your hold? ;P

@Mynah: No canon to consider! Part of the fun to me is what people can come up with in terms of personality/backstory/adventure etc just based on how my dragons look.

Some of my babs already have a bio but you can still choose them and either work off of their bio or do something completely different c:
