poshi: i'm studying humanities in a liberal arts college. my core subjects are english lit, history, and philosophy, but i study a wide range of stuff really since it's liberal. it's all very analytical and reading and writing intensive, which exhausts me haha. but at least it's stimulating, for the first time in the history of my education if i choose to do honours i can specialise in one of the cores. if i do specialise i'll go for english lit

i can't just listen to music either, i make myself clean or read or study/write click my knuffel... unless i really love the song so much that i have to listen to it with my eyes closed.

i have different music for different activities. i have noisy music for when i'm in the bathroom so i don't have to hear myself pooping. and i have music to kind of fit the atmosphere of what i'm writing (if it's my own fiction).

Lololol, I can go hours just listening to music, walking around the apartment and either just sing along or think of scenarios for my fanfictions XD (I wish it was just my original fiction again.... ) I also talk to myself pretending it's the characters talking to each other

I ponder if part of it is comments from family of things against my brother, who can't do much because of his sore back. Everyone kinda thought he was over exaggerating it. Turns out he may have fibro.

Yup, I'm studying mechanical engineering. I feel like we're quite opposites. I can't say I have ever enjoyed humanities.

I enjoy listening to music as a pass time in conjunction with another activity c: The only time I'm 'just' listening is if I'm working on my singing (but I guess that counts as a 2 in 1 activity).

i didn't enjoy humanities in school either... it's so different in college, i would never have imagined it because it's nothing like anything i've experienced before. it's like i've never thought so much in my life lol. and we're encouraged to think and question like heck. and my mind goes into overdrive over a lot of things people just accept so maybe that's why i find it a good fit for me, though i didn't expect it to be.

i guess it all depends on the system.
