Maybe check the wires inside? Could be that something is broken there... But it does sound strange. I agree with kit though, usually you have to hold down the power button for a while to force the pc to turn off.

No not the wires. And that's what I meant was even though I hold the button down it still doesn't shut off. I have to unplug it.

Who knows?
Something just got into my eye and it hurts. I have no idea what it was either.

about a week ago I woke up with a puffy right upper eyelid, it was like the upper tear duct was blocked or something (is there an upper tear duct? It sure felt like it), strangest thing I've ever had happen to my eyes. Took three days for it to sort itself out, and another day for all the puffiness to subside.
Eye stuff is always nervewracking. It's hard to have vision threatened.
I hope whatever it is, works itself out quickly for you.

I checked mirror, but I didn't seen one. But that doesn't mean anything.
I'm good now. A few years ago something had happened to me and my whole right had swollen. Had to wear sunglasses during the day when I went out. I was miserable. Don't know how it happened, but it finally went down. I think we have an upper tear duct, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I don't know either, really. That swelling sounds scary! Did you ever figure out what it was, even if you don't know what triggered it?
