Hm, too bad. That would have been an easy to fix problem if that was it :( I always hope for one of those first ;)

And it really didn't show any out of the ordinary behaviour before or while you turned it off?
And it's not doing anything at all when you try to turn it on?

Well Jossy and I share a bedroom. No other rooms. With my mom sleeping downstairs in a recliner the other room is my dad's to sleep in.

Nope. It's like it just suddenly happened. Well the fan comes on, but about it.

OK, if the fan comes on, it's definitely not that there's just no power to it for some reason, or the power button is not working at all or something.
No lights go on anywhere? Like on the keyboard or mouse if they have any? Or on the pc case itself?

You're thinking maybe it's the screen brightness turned all the way to darkness, or that the screen is powered off, or something like that?

I was thinking about it being an issue with the screen, yes, that's why I was asking if there's any more reaction from the pc itself.

Does it turn itself off? Cuz it miiiiiiight be the motherboard if it turns on and then back off without ever booting
Which is how my first laptop died

No lights, just the fan. The mouse, keyboard and monitor act like they're not even hooked up. And no it doesn't turn off on it's own. It stays on even when you push the button so you have to unplug it.

I have never had a computer or desktop where simply pushing the button would turn it off
Press and hold to force it off, yes
