Oh, all these titles I don't recognise.

I just finished 'The girl with the dragon tattoo' by Stieg Larsson. I immediately ordered, 'the girl who played with fire' and I'm waiting for that to arrive. In the mean time I might start Memnoch the devil by Anne Rice.

Have you read the others by Anne Rice? I recommend starting at the beginning with those!

(Not that I got terribly far, but I was reading them as they came out and eventually forgot to keep checking for the new ones)

Okay so I just had a chance to read a bunch of books, after all, because of reading to my nieces.
Some fun ones!
My favorite was Lloyd Alexander's "The FortuneTellers"

Then what I'm currently reading: a few chapters here and there of some Juvenile/YA books the girls were in the middle of (apparently each gets a chapter or two a night of her chosen chapter-book) which I'm going to stay up and finish tonight.
Avi's "Midnight Magic" and Louise S Rankin's "Daughter of the Mountains"

I'm currently a bit over halfway through 1984, by George Orwell. My first read through because we never read it at the schools I went to growing up.

@Akili Li: nooo that just shows what an idiot I am! when I was there we even talked of how they reduced the collection because no one wanted to read in yiddish and I DIDN'T ASK WHERE THE REST WAS!!! I won't forgive myself for that ever.

but the store is amazing, right?

what's the book called?

The books are all at home, and I am 3000 kilometers away from there right now at my sister's. Will let you know when I return though, if you remind me.

Right now I've been going through my sister's and brother-in-law's bookshelves.
They've got a "Readings in Medieval History" which has some interesting early Roman law stuff in it (translated into English) and it's funny, I never thought of Roman stuff as being very Medieval -tend to think of them as 'classical' era- but they definitely had a big impact on the Medieval thinking. So it's been quite educational!

I've been reading Anne Rice since high school so I've read them in semi-chronological order. I think I read The Vampire Lestat first, then Interview with a Vampire, Pandora, the Vampire Armand. I own Queen of the Damned, Tale of the body thief and now Memnoch the devil (which I'm currently reading).

I'll get the others eventually. I do love Lestat :3 kekeke

I've been working my way through the Baen free library books. Right now I'm working on the 2015 collection of short fiction.
