Not for Japan apparently...

Yesterday and today. Earthquakes, aftershocks, tsunami warnings, fires, and a plane collision. >A<

yeah i was talking about this with my mom today. 8u
like i'm glad that everyone escaped the passenger plane safely, i think that was practically a miracle. but i feel bad that the other plane's passengers were killed. especially when they were flying off to give relief stuff to the earthquake victims. but big plane vs little plane, big plane is gonna come out on top. ^^;;

Yea...

Seems France is flying in their own investigators to help figure out why the crash happened.

Just too much going on at once I bet.. >A<

One of the people on the passenger plane said "the landing felt normal, they didn't feel any bumps or anything. But then they saw the fire on one of the engines and heard the alert to evacuate the plane."

Yeah well Japan has always been all about safety especially in regards to transportation and disaster relief, since they’re close to the Ring of Fire and they’re used to things like earthquakes and tsunamis bc of it. From what I heard, the crew kinda calmly evacuated everyone and tried not to let anyone panic and everyone got out safely. That’s like almost 400 ppl, all safe.
I heard that one of then passengers called his wife while evacuating and the wife didn’t even know that he was on that plane until later.

Yeah I read about that guy.

Also a 65 year old lady who was visiting family for the holidays said she's lived through a lot of earthquakes and this one was the worst.

The death toll keeps climbing. QnQ

There’s nothing that can be done about that. After all, Japan lives in the ring of fire. They’ve already improved building codes and all the like. They’re very prepared for disasters such as this. If nature is going to throw disasters at them like this, the only thing they can do is prepare ahead.

I live in a place where we get catastrophic weather every five years or so. This year our hurricane season was longer than usual. In 2020 I had my daughter while we were evacuated for a hurricane that smashed into us and while I was in Nashville TN. My OBGYN told me that I needed to go back home to have my scheduled C-Section but I told him that it would be better to stay where I was. There was no power or pottable water. We had to evacuate again maybe a week and a half after that because we had another hurricane. We had a massive flood that swooped in on us because the city hadn't cleaned out the drainage yet. Someone hit my car going out of my yard so mine was in the shop, and I flooded out my rental car. >+<

Fugg that sounds like a lot of complications. Wow. I’m glad I don’t live in such an area. XD

I live at one of the ends of Tornado Alley the end that reaches up to ohio.. They touch down around my area every so often, but not close to me.. which is probably a good thing because these apartments do not have a tornado storm shelter..

Like.. we get tornadoes here.. WHY DO WE NOT HAVE A STORM SHELTER!?! D:<

i'm glad that we haven't gotten tornadoes here. *knocks on wood* we've had them touch down in other places in ontario tho.
