For a moment my brain went 'oh that is a nice way to pace the year'. Then I remembered that December to February is when the Southern hemisphere has it's summer. So a school year is still paced from end of Summer holiday till start of Summer holiday. :}

It's good having summer off!

I see I see :D That seems like a really good vacation system to me.

The only School system I really can't figure out why is that Japanese. They have there school start in April, probably something to do with Spring I guess. :}

rebecca&Dream: Oh wow! :D July-August ish has the hottest weather, so we'd die if we were to have school during those months x.x

Now that I finished high school and will be starting college this Fall... I have nearly 4 months of vacation o_o

@dream, According to here It followed the French schooling system and that it is also a more natural time to start it because April is the 'height' of spring and that they Japanese are sensitive to changes in season ... Interesting!!
