It is true!!!
They are unimaginably RUDE. Especially if they think you don't understand French. When I was in Paris I usually let them say there piece and then tell them in French I understood what they said and right back at them. :}

Oh I love when this happens! People think they can just say whatever they like :mcangry:
So what happened for that?

What happened for what? It happened several times.
Once when I asked for directions, once in a store, at a café, and at dinner.
There age difference was also from about 14 to about 80.
You want to go to France, learn to speak french without an accent first. :}

What do you mean age difference? Like in a romantic relationship?

Oh! I meant what happened at the time when people thought you couldn't understand them when you actually could.
And by age differences you mean the people who sat there swearing towards you in French?

Okay. I'm just going to admit that I have no idea what you two are trying to ask.
So I'm just going to answer to the best of my understanding of what you are asking.

1. In age difference I meant that it weren't people of only a certain age that acted rude. The 14 year old at the store was just as rude as the 80-ish year old I asked for directions.

2 What happened before they were Rude in French, was that I was Speaking in English, to my traveling Partner. Apparently they concluded that us speaking English meant we would not be able to understand them speaking French.

Hope this clears up what wasn't clear yet. :}
