It does make an already hard issue even more difficult when health problems are thrown into the mix D:

I don't know if this could help your situation or not, but something I found that works are to eat less instead of focusing on clean/healthy. Nowadays we tend to eat really light dinners or skip it altogether for just some fruits and veggies. But pretty much before 5pm we still eat whatever, however much we want.

Cutting out heavy carbs and full meals in the evening has really helped us even without doing anything else!

Spain is a country for quite late meals... People think we are nuts because we have dinner so early - at 8 PM!
You can't find any restaurant open at those hours. Which is why we hardly eat out.

I should not skip meals, because of the thyroid thing, but I'm trying to avoid snacking.
When I snack between meals I am eating but I don't feel satiated at all. So I still eat the same in the next meal.
That's why I'm trying to skip snacks along the day.

I'm drinking a lot though, so hot here!

Wait- 8pm is early? :OOOO

What's the usual dinner time then? XD

We have dinner at 5pm LOL

Ahhhh snacking is the bane of weight loss D:
But they're so addicting... And sometimes in the afternoon you just want to munch on something! Or drink a sweet drink!

Yes, that's early here. How crazy is that, huh?
You won't find any restaurant open before 9 PM, but most people think a proper time for dining out is from 10 PM and on.

We also have a late lunch, so I suppose it makes sense dinner gets later.
I mean, lunch is from 2 PM. Some days I get out work at 3 PM, so I just can't have lunch any earlier.

Actually when I'm calling to any service, and at 1 PM they say "good afternoon" I know for sure that person is not Spanish.
Our "tarde" is not related to noon at all, it's related to lunch. Morning is before lunch, afternoon is before lunch. Which does not happen at noon ever.

Yeah, snacking is great.
And I've got used to "healthy" snacks, such as nuts. But I think that even the healthiest ones end up being a lot of calories I did not really need...

Whoa, if both lunch and dinner are so late, when is the usual breakfast time? :O

When I used to diet I really like raw carrots as my healthy snack. But I'd always worry if I eat too much, my skin would get orange /D;;;;;

Well, I start working at 8:30, so earlier than that. Because I work close to home I can have breafast at 7:30 and still be on time.
I think it's a bit later than in other countries but not so much later - compared to our lunch and dinner which are waaaaay later.

I love raw carrots too!
That's something I enjoy snacking on while I'm cooking. I use half the carrot in the dish I'm cooking, I eat the other half right away :mclaugh:

:OOOO

I also eat breakfast at 8, and I get really hungry by 12! How do you stick it out until 2? :mcargh:

Yessssss raw carrots are best! We buy them in bulk and lately I've been negotiating with mom because she likes stir frying them and I just want to have them raw XD I feel like cooked carrots are too sweet? And then they're salty too in dishes and I don't like that particular balance D:

How do I stick it out? Poorly? XD
The norm here is having a mid-morning coffee, and that usually includes some snack.
Same in the afternoon, you take an afternoon snack.

When I travel I love having lunch and dinner earlier.
We go to Portugal quite often, and we enjoy having lunch at noon... but waiters always talk to us in English at first - cause an Spaniard that early? no way! XD
And when we were in other European countries, well, I find their eating schedules so much more pleasurable tbh.

Fried carrots are sweet, yeah, but I do enjoy that too.
I am an all-carrots fan xD

i like eating early because i get hungry early, too.

i get hungry by 1 pm. and for dinner i'm hungry by 7.

my family has become used to my hunger schedule so even if they eat later the food is usually ready for me to eat before they do.

i like cooked carrots if they're seasoned right. a lot of spices go well with carrot. i once used ground carrots with some pureed tomato to make a thick gravy for curry. i used some soy sauce and Indian spices. it was delicious.

In my case it's my job what does not allow me to have breakfast/lunch at different times.
But dinner is our choice, although it's a bit strange - socially speaking.

For example, we are with our son in a park, and sometimes his friends arrive at the hour we leave for dinner...
And we don't plan dinners with our adult friends anymore, if anything lunch, because waiting for 10 PM to have dinner is a pain for us.

Another topic.
I nearly finished the MT and TT sections of the new item guide, which I think are the most important ones?
I just need to create some pictures for the oldest sets, because there either was none avaliable or it was just too large.
