Phantom maintained his salty pout, right up until she started singing the chorus. His arms fell to his sides, jaw dropped in amazement. "That... was incredible. And you actually thought you might be a lost cause? Have you ever sang in front of anyone else before?" He asked, curious if she'd ever gotten any feedback about her voice.

Angeline shrugged a bit at his response. "Yeah, back when I was in high school I was in choir, and I would help other students with their individual parts. Of course my father said I sounded like a tone death whale, so of course that was a constant reminder to never sing at home." She was used to her father's hateful words by this point, but she did remember late nights when she'd cry herself to sleep because of how hurt and scared she was. "So, you don't think I'm a lost cause then..?" She asked softly, tilting her head to the side with round innocent eyes.

Phantom could barely believe what he was hearing. She really didn't know how good she was. "A lost... of course not! Angeline, darling, you are without question the greatest voice talent I've heard in years! That's one thing we don't have to work on at all, my dear. This will make my job a whole lot easier."

Hearing Phantom say that about her made her cheeks turn red. Her heart actually trembled for a second, making her happy. "That's really kind of you to say Phantom, thank you really." She smiled brightly, an innocent bright smile you'd normally only see on a child's face. "So...what now?" She asked softly, smiling softly towards the planning Phantom.

"I don't ever lie to my clients." Phantom said truthfully. Sure, he may decline to point certain things out, but he never lied. "Next I'll need to see how you hold up in an acting scenario."

Angeline smiled softly and nodded at his words, folding her arms behind her back. "Oh, I used to be in theater class in high school! I can work on improve too, give me any scene, I will do the best I can~!" She cheered innocently.

Phantom smiled, his eyes gleaming as he thought. "Alright. You're the last survivor of a hiking party attempting to climb mount Everest. Each member of your party has been found torn to pieces at dawn, one every day until only you were left. It's midnight, and you're facing down the monster that has come to finish you off. Go."

Angeline rested her hand on her chin. 'Well, in that sense she could have two emotions at this point. Absolutely terrified of dying, or so done that she's willing to die to finish this monster off. So I'll do both~!" She smiled brightly, but then closed her eyes and let the emotion fall from her face. She let the memories fall through her head. Every single scare, every loss of people she loved, all of them. Tears started to roll down her face, her eyes opening and pure fear filling her eyes. "N-No....don't you f-fucking dare...! S-Stay away from me, stay away!" She screamed, curling up and gripping to her head as if she was about to get eaten by something. Pure fear, in both voice and body language. She knew this feeling all too well.

Phantom watched her performance, the slight widening of his eyes being the only sign of his surprise. This was method acting at it's finest, and he was truly impressed. After a few moments, he clapped and came over to her, gently putting a hand on her shoulder. "Okay, you can stop now. Take some deep breaths for me." He recognized true fear when he saw it. He would need to work on helping her separate her experiences from her acting slightly, so that she could use the experiences without letting them control her in the moment. "You're going to be alright."

Angeline peeked from her hands, round innocent eyes up at him. She suddenly smiled widely, giggling as she took the opportunity. She shot up, leaning towards him and placing her lips on his cheek. "Gotcha~" She stepped backwards and stood there with a bright confident smile as she fooled him. "While the fear was completely real, I told you I'm over it. My father is in jail and he'll be in there for a long time. Now, do you wanna see my angry acting~?" She winked, arms behind her back. Yes the emotions she felt were completely real, but years of faking her emotions and pretending to be okay made her unhealthily quick at shifting her emotions.
