Hmm, yeah, I guess if you aren't used to eating them, you wouldn't want them as much. May I ask where you live that pastries aren't popular?
Yeah, my friend says the same thing, that the sweetness makes her feel sick. I've never really had that feeling though, I love sugar xD

Oh I live in a Chinatown in New York so it's mainly Asian bakeries which tend to have a different taste. I'm going to assume the Asian bakeries are popular to the community around me because theres a good hand full of them but that could also be because they're really convenient to pick up something to eat early in the morning. I guess I may be a bit of an odd ball when it comes to pastries?

Ahhh, fair enough. There was a really good Chinese bakery in the Chinatown where I used to live. I would always get these sweet buns there. Can't remember what they were called... I want to say coconut, but that doesn't sound right. So tasty.
