It's a super virus or something, but I also think the media is trying to make more of it than it really is. It should make the population be more aware and/or careful, but some people are borderline hysterical.

I guess the strain of flu is more harmful in your town right now..? or less flu vax?

I admit I don't get a flu vax, mostly because of my needle fear but I am pro vax..

I don't get vax-ed cuz of my fear of needles as well, but I do get a cold once or 2 times a year. Plus the weather is changing a lot from day to day, so it's normal for the imunity to also be unstable since the body can't regulate to a temperature.

I looked into vaccines though and it turns out it takes effect 30 days after you get it. So even if I were to get vax-ed 2 weeks ago I still would have catched this one

but a cold is different to a flu..



I guess that's why they get you to get the vaccine so early so it can do it's thing in time for flu season.

I know, but I could never really tell the differance... And most medicines treat both, so...

I always get the flu vaccine because of the Elders. I really don't want to risk bringing it home to them. And the ones of them who can, get it, too.
But then I fortunately don't suffer from the fear of needles that a lot of people have to deal with, and that definitely makes it much easier! I always feel so sorry for the diabetics who hate needles. At that point, what can you do? Such a horrible thing to have to deal with...
Oh, well, no one ever said life was fair, we just deal with what we have to.
