Oh, there's a trick for that! There's a button, when you're editing the room, that hides the knuffel temporarily. So you can hide the items behind the knuffel, and then if you want to move them later you can use the 'hide knuffel' button, move them where you please, and then hit the hide/show knuffel button again!
It's very useful.
It's the one with the light and dark silhouette of a knuffel.
